maybe cuz Protoss armies are much more compositionally important but yeah theres no excuse

Yeah there are definatly certain times when you can get away with 1controlgroup. Probably even times when it is advantageous but so many players seems unable to react when there are sitauations where you really really need to split that army. Ive even seen pros having all their HTs in the same group having them all get emp:d.
I'm genuinely enjoying this! I'm fairly new to following tournaments, and I'm glad the bwc recently wasn't the benchmark of the sc2 scene's ability to host offline events.
