Obviously Stephano, but other than that?
I'd say Grubby and Major are good contenders, too bad Naniwa isn't attending.
Lucifron
LucifroN is going to shock people. Expect a great performance in him.
Also putting your stock in mOOnGLaDe would be intelligent. If he can make it out of his ridiculously hard group you'll know he's in good enough shape to make a significant run into the bracket portion.

IMO Rain has shown a bit of weakness in PvZ recently. I think a sufficiently skilled Zerg such as Curious, RorO or even Stephano has a decent shot at taking him out.
Lol at people thinking Stephano will win this ... he's good yeah, but not that good. Koreans are in play here and they will most definitely win this. I hope Creator or Parting takes it down.
Even though my fav player is Grubby ... i know it's too much of a longshot for him to get 1st.

rain is likely to come first in group D, so he will play second place from group E. this could well be roro or stephano :o

Of course Stephano can win this, just like any of the Korean players can win this and like several other non-Koreans have a shot. I wouldn't give any single Korean player a much bigger chance of winning the event than Stephano. Why would you? The one time he met Curious, Stephano won. The one time he met Parting, Stephano won. He has beaten Hero plenty of times. When MC was considered the best PvZ-player, he beat MC. When Squirtle was considered the best PvZ-player, he beat Squirtle. Stephano has a tough group, which diminishes his chances of advancing from the group, and thus his possibility of winning the tournament, but I don't see him as much of an underdog against any single player.
Because of their number and quality, the most likely winner is a Korean player. But what is sure is that whoever wins at the end of the tournament does so not simply because he was the best player, but also because he got lucky along the way. In order to win WCS you need skill AND luck.

It feels so good to see some logic here. A tip of the hat to you, friend.
for the king of WoL part of the top 10 reasons, i dont see how MVP can be disputed, stephano has probably got top foreigner spot taken, but the GSL is twice as hard as any other tournament, and MVP is the champion of the GSL. he won 3 early on, and was one of the "big 3" and a year and a half later is still winning GSLs and making finals.
sure stephano never played in the GSL, but you arent gonna name someone who never played in the NFL as the greatest football player of all time, same thing applies here

Well Stephano isn't white So....LucifroN!! The Terran Hope AND among the strongest whitedudes He should win that group. One of Scarlett/Nerchio (assuming Creator tops that group) could also make a run, they both could possibly get out also although creator is probably favoured even with pvz pretty hard for the protoss.. VortiX should do pretty well I think, whenever he plays Koreans he does well from memory. I actually expect Stephano to bomb out. Great player, but not playing so well recently, still very good but that's a really tough draw. He will struggle to get out of that group, and if he manages to get through, he then could end up against Rain. But you can never count him out.

I think you're talking about hand-egg, not football.
I'm not there for the world final of this amazing set of events, but I've loved being part of three other nationals this year and I'll be tuning in throughout the tournament. Can't wait to see if the foreigners can outgun the Koreans again.
Tips (beware im shit at tips usually): Stephano, Scarlett, Rain top three.

Wolf said on SOTG if he secured his visa he will come to shanghai and since Tasteless might very possible be absent again, I think he will come up as replacement.

i have a horrible feeling he will fall to a zerg tho...
He said in his interview he fears zerg most, and to be honest both terran and protoss players does fear zerg at this current time. But I know he has something up his sleeve that will give those pesky zerg's a fight to say the least!

Today during the GSL he said that he had arranged his visa, so he would be travelling to Shanghai. He didn't specify whether he would be casting or just attending.
