Feel like Tastosis (and most people in this thread) were overrating Ryung's position for much of the game. Sure, he had superior upgrades, but Life's econ was really strong and his muta play allowed him to take a 4th safely on Antiga while keeping Ryung contained. The incidental damage the mutas did only added to the strength of Life's position. This was not a "lol zerg" game at all, it was entirely Life outplaying Ryung from a disadvantageous start.

Look at the supply. Tastosis hyping Ryung too hard, Life is going to CRUSH this.

What was about the supply? It wasn't a huge difference considering how it can be.

When I posted it it was 3base + 4th in the making vs 2base+ 3rd in the making with Ryung down 50 supply.

Ryung had his 3rd up for a long time he just didnt lift it off because I dont think he knew it was going to be greed from Life.

wtf it wasn't greed from life. he was on 61 drones for quite a while. if Ryung took 3rd too early Life prolly busts it. Life tried to bust anyway and just did no dmg (killed a pack of marines for 20 blings)

Ryung made heaps of mistakes, letting 3-4 dropships get sniped for very little damage, and playing overly safe after going 3cc

Funny it was like a reverse TvZ on Antiga. Life controling the mid all game, and denying Ryung's 4th

What good plays lol? The mutas that killed 2 depos or the first big push that did no damage at all?

You don't allow zergs to get a fourth on Antiga, Ryung. That's why you choose the map.

hard to do against mass muta/ling/bling.

Dropping is really hard against a player with such active mutalisks and pushing is hard too, because the middle is really open and you play with huge supply deficits. Ryung wasn't aware off his upgrade lead and he's not to blame for it, because it's hard to figure out, while you are defending against this forever ongoing pressure. Life plays just incredible well. There is nothing to take away from him.

Life's Muta harass was pretty cool and refreshing in this age of super fast Infestors. It was cool to see him pick off whatever he could, killing off building SCVs and forcing cancels onto buildings.

What was he suppose to do and deny those bases when a giant muta flock could kill everything in the main/nat/3rd or the medivacs?

Or the on-demand 40+ lings that could pop at any minute he sees a push coming.

Another one of these games where I felt like the there wasn't much the terran could have done. I feel like this is how the game is currently developing. As long as the zerg doesn't mess up he will win.

You usually lose when you don't scout a hidden expo and are confined on 2 base.

Ryung thought it was 2 base vs 3, but then it was actually 2 base vs 4. Then 5 base vs 3.

Take a more aggressive third after his stim and medivacs were done, hit a strong 2/2/1 timing perhaps.

Well his drop timings could have been better, but that wasn't really why he lost, right?

Overly safe?? When could he attack? He was always behind in supply. ALways had the worse army.

Life had army to deny terran third for ages and defend his own fourth. He had econ to trade. He was ahead on both fronts the entire game. Nothing Ryung could do all game that doesn't involve him hoping Life slips up badly (not just "little" things like 10pooling and running his army into seiged terran positions, because clearly that doesn't matter).

Because that's so easy to do when zerg goes muta/ling...
