Would be awesome to see terran air be viable if someone is trying what Leenock did, banshee/tank into raven/bc.

Also the smoke machine/confetty at the end was better than nearly every foreign tournaments closing ceremony.

GGs. I think not enough people watched these games given 60 pages over a 4 day event. Some very promising stuff for HotS based on them.

Was more aimed at the Korean crowd, and it seemed it did well with a massive crowd there each day.

Hopefully more foreign conventions do this sorta thing in a next few months (if there is any in that time frame)

Fun event, Leenock games and the Rain v Mvp were the best imo.

terran air is definately not the answer as they would just get infestors instead if a mass amount of terran air is being assembled.

The counter to mass swarm host is Thors and siege tanks.

Just have alot of siege tanks in siege mode killing the waves, Only when you realize you can kill the wave really fast do you attempt unsiegeing and pushing forward ( all while the thors go after the swarm hosts)

terran mech has enough dps to mow threw everything. Try it in the unit tester, zerg requires ridiclous amounts of more food in hosts to compete with terran mech.

The only reason i say this, is because if retarded blizzard is looking at this, they might actually think hosts are imba because they are incompetent like that. While if you watch morrow or dragon streaming hots, they done over the period where hosts were a problem. Its manageable for terran. ( i am a terran player as well). I just dont want to see units nerfed undeservingly.

for protoss on the other hand, it seems much more difficult. I would think the air fleet is thier counter cause the colosus comes out to late to compete with mass hosts. (possibly tempests and core for detect)

my conclusions are that new Terran units are very boring and don't seem to add that much to Terran other than maybe doing some gimicky things with Widow Mines

Protoss new units look interesting but need HotS to be released for them to get a more rigorous look and play through by pros

Zerg new units are OP with WoL Infestors, but WoL Infestors will be nerfed before HotS is released

I actually think banshees will be a good answer to swarm hosts, since in a lot of TvZ nowadays banshees are used mid-game anyway to force infestors to waste energy, so using them against swarmhosts makes sense also.

Regarding protoss air, I would not be surprised if the void-ray is reworked into some sort of burst-splash unit to deal with swarm-hosts.

Whenever I try to unsiege and leapfrog towards the hosts I find roaches and vipers waiting, ready to kill my tanks.

A couple of banshees is definitely the better option.

dude swarm hosts are just a faster brood lord composition LOL.

except the locusts are even stronger ahahahaha. dem incoming nerfs.

Erg, they aren't really OP at all... All that is required is a tiny bit of multitask.Suicide a 6-8 marauder pack to kill 6 swarm hosts mid game. then roflstomp their non existent composition...
Not really imbalanced. If Leenock chooses to invest everything into them, he can very easily be punished for it.

Also, not a single banshee to combat that? Pretty silly of MKP. He just isn't used to HOTS yet.. Leenock stomped him so easily.

I'm just watching this now, and as a spectator, one thing that might be nice is to have timewarp be a bit less visually distracting/opaque. In many of the PvX engagements, between the guardian shields and the timewarps, it looks like war of the domes, really hard to see what's going on.

Then again, time warp might not be used as much in "real" games as it was in these showmatches, so maybe this is a nonissue.
