It's to keep zergs guessing. If they go home they rule out every possibility for a follow up attack which allows zergs to drone up hard. If they stay active on the map the zerg can't 100% say that the push is over, and thus is forced to make more units. The making more units can of course backfire on the protoss when zerg musters the brainpower to actually Use those extra units though :p | ||

Well for 1 they are quite behind. And second a lot of time thanks to the warp mechanic and warpgate you actually can still push and win, MC did it previous GSL to DRG even. | ||
