Maybe if Heart of the Swarm were to be delayed a year, and one of the two would keep slaughtering nerds left and right until the expansion's release, maybe then I would agree with the idea. Until then, Mvp is the best player in Wings of Liberty overall and both of them are some of the best players right now, but I can't comfortably call either of them a real Bonjwa. Maybe if HotS will last as long as WoL did until LotV comes out... I don't know, only time will tell. I agree. The game isn't finished and it won't be until LotV comes out and gets balanced enough. Unless MVP dominates HotS and LotV as well he'd only be known as a WoL Bonjwa. Congrats Rain, now go win OSL too.

A lot of people are trying to say that MVP will be the SC2 bonjwa if he wins the current GSL season, because he will have won five championships. Putting aside that it's an arbitrary number, bonjwa never had anything to do with numbers of championships. It was meant to describe a player that stood head and shoulders above the competition and dominated the game for a period of time. Nobody was comfortable calling Flash a bonjwa when he was constantly having a close series with Jaedong, because it cast doubt on the idea that he was dominant. Later on people called him "God" but Jaedong had to enter a brutal slump first. MVP crashed out of the OSL during the group stages. His GSL semi-final series against Rain, which he narrowly won, occurred a single day after Rain's semi-final series against Last in the OSL, which Rain won. Rain's won WCS Asia and he could win the OSL. If he continues to post results in the near future, I don't think it will matter what MVP does. Because "bonjwa" isn't about being good, it's about being the only player on your level. If MVP versus Rain continues to be a nailbiter, MVP isn't a bonjwa. But who knows, they may never meet in a tournament again. winning almost every single tournament in a scene where there is about 3-4x the number of major events per month, in a game that lets randoms take games off the best players regularly, isn't dominating the scene? What more would you have MVP do really? In the context of SC2, there is no doubt MVP is bonjwa material IF we are going to use that term in SC2.

He dropped out of OSL, he didnt even get past group stage in a foreign tourney. His last GSL win was nowhere near domination when he cheese most of his games. If he wins his 5th GSL title, I don't think people would argue about MVP being the 1st bonjwa of SC2. At least, that is how I see it.

You're missing the point. Being Bonjwa is not about winning titles - winning titles is only side effect. Being Bonjwa is being consistently, unarguably best player in the world, beating everyone in each matchup for a period of time of significant length - like half a year at least. He may lost a series or a set but that's it. Mvp was once storng when he won his first GSL title and GSL World Championship. But he failed at other GSL tournaments at the time and even fallen to Code A (he got 2nd in Code A behind Bomber!). Then there was post MLG Anaheim period but MMA was outplaying him then. So his MLG, third GSL title, BlizzCon and WCG was not enough. And now he is... what? One GSL title, one IEM and now a shot at another GSL. But there was a GSL in between the two (lost in Ro16 to TaeJa and viOLet). He lost in OSL Ro16 group stage to Flying and Parting. He lost in WCS South Korea to Polt and then resigned. He lost in WCG South Korea Ro16 to BaBy. At the end of 2011 Mvp was at least consistently good - loosing only to very best players or just winning. Now he is inconsistent even if still very good and so there is no Bonjwa title for him. Still - as for know - Mvp is the most accomplished player in the SC2. After all he won more premier tournaments than any other team (except for IM of course).

Well, I am working for big international IT company in here and not even the lowest position - in fact it is 4th out of 10 possible 'ranks' and I am getting 12.700e per year. Before taxes. So yeah, that's almost two times more than I earn per year. And don't even want to know, how much McDonalds employees get here - around 7k-8k per year.

I think PvP is one of the best matchups to watch. For reals. It's fun to play, too. It's less hectic than ZvZ, and not as mind numbingly dull as TvT.
