But while in general you want HTs backed up by your ball, when you're harassing with HTs (for example at Nova's 4th), or flanking (happened several times), you can't exactly back them up. Sometimes you shouldn't even back them up - why let Nova kill 10% of your army that's backing up a single HT if it gets found when instead you can have your worst scenario (lone HTs being found) be a single HT being lost? Note that JYP didn't even have High TemplarS astray, a lot of times it was just one HT, at most two IIRC. Other times they were totally with the rest of the ball, unless attempting to go ahead to 'back ghosts counts as "astray". A lot of players take bases without proper defence, and a lot of times it pays off. The fact that he had to lose so many bases is a bit worrying but he also managed to keep his cool (think about G1 as well). It wasn't that JYP had a perfect game, but you're making it look way worse than it actually was. | ||

A chargelot/archon timing could work, but it's a huge gamble, and would rely on the zerg not scouting/countering it more than any particular execution from the P (the only important thing being to hide the impending timing). | ||
