Sheth looking pretty good. Although JYP is going to be a formidable opponent. And man I just noticed the stream is up to 12.5k viewers! Great start since it is Liquid vs EG.

Kind of like how people thought Mana and Naniwa would advance in Code S but then they both end up last in their respective groups? Or when people think foreigners will take out Koreans in foreign tournaments, but then the top 8 are all Koreans? How many times do Koreans have to stomp foreigners to get people to understand that the are on a completely different level?

Seriously? Yeah Koreans are better than foreigners, we all know that, but even top Koreans lose to them sometimes. Naniwa has good runs in code S. No need to belittle their efforts...

Actually Naniwa is one of the few foreigners I actually respect as he has the balls to actually make the move to Korea and understands that to be the best, he has to play among the best every day. But after seeing Idra disappoint time after time with his poor attitude, premature GG's and lack of fighting spirit, its about time people stopped being blind-sighted by his BM personality - thinking that he can actually take a game off the likes of Taeja.

Idra moved to Korea to train 4 years before Naniwa.

Not bad, but hopefully it breaks 15k tonight.

Idra's problem has always been his mentality. Not making excuses for the guy but people forget the time when he was pretty much the only foreign Zerg consistently competing with the Koreans, especially in MLGs. Stephano should hopefully rub off him a bit and give him some more insight and we'll see a resurgent Gracken, in an ideal world anyway

To be honest, I don't think EG is gonna play Idra a lot anymore in their teamleagues.

Finally sending out JYP, he shoulda came in last game to give both Thorzain and Stephano a chance at Taeja. Oh well, I have faith that EG can bring this one home... Kind of. We'll see I guess

so that they don't get sniped, losing the best player early is quite bad. could argue that you should use them 3rd or 4th for maximum effect. Can still save a sniper for them then thou

The problem with saving a sniper for last is you don't know who's left.
Best to leave the most versatile or stable ones last so they can deal with more shit.

Hoping for JYP to take the win here so we get closer to a Stephano vs Taeja ace match because who wouldn't want to see that?

In an AK format it makes perfect sense to save your top players for last. You need them as your Ace to keep you alive if shit goes wrong. The general strategy is start with like a strong(Maybe 2nd-3rd best on your team kind of thing) to hopefully get a kill or two, after which you can send out a couple of lesser known players who have shown promise in practice to get them experience/exposure. Then if your back is against the wall you start sending in the big guns again.

Well that's how I'd do it anyway, I'm not a pro coach but it makes sense to me.

There are many reasons.

1) Give your less known players more experience and potential time to shine.
2) Force out their good players so you can send out your snipers (rather than your snipers getting sniped).
3) Tire out their best players so when the aces clash, the fresh ace will have the advantage (Taeja all-killed IM once and almost the second time but then finally fell after taking out like 7 of them - presumably to fatigue.)
