Wow. Both players playing so well. I think the map played a huge role here. On another map Jjakji would have probably won. Well, maybe not, Seed is damn good.

I actually think the map kept him alive longer than it should have. Seed just couldn't pick fights because there's no real open field for zealots to get decent surface area.

There's also no open space for Terran armies to get surface area on Protoss armies. Generally speaking chokes and narrow corridors are much more advantageous for Protoss in the matchup because of all of the AOE and how tightly packed Terran armies end up.

I completely disagree (politely, of course!), the ramps allow terran to create concaves at almost every location on Cloud Kingdom. The map isn't narrow, it just has a ton of locations where terran can set up positions protoss shouldn't attack into.
So Seed's zealot heavy army isn't really a good choice for the map imo. Stalker colossus HT would have been better imo because he could've used these locations for himself to snipe units and bait storms.

Well, the ramps work both way, protoss can't attack into them but terran can't either.

Which then favors the more mobile army because it can set up these positions quicker and easier. And that would be the terran army.
I do agree that it can work both ways though, HerO vs Ryung in Code S was a great example.

Probably better to send out Tassadar vs Seed first, hope to get lucky with BO and then use Seal/Sculp for their last player (depending on who they send out).

PvP still has that coinflip factor, so if Tassadar beat Seed LG-IM probably wouldn't send out MC. Losira, Happy or YoDa is more likely. And Seal/Scul has a better chance of beating those players than they have of beating Seed.

This is Hoseo's last player, though. Tassadar is the final boss.

They dont have any more players after this match if they lose.

well, I guess it makes sense to flip coins... but what do you do even if Tassadar wins ?

It makes no sense at all to send out Tassadar. He is known for his very weak PvP. And he is skillwise much lower than Seal, so his chance to get 2wins in a row is even smaller...
I don't think it makes a difference, but it's the wrong choice either way...

Did NSH forget what Seal did for them against IM in a previous team league? Seriously, this makes zero sense.

Of course ramps work for both players. But for Terran it gets harder the longer the game goes on because when Toss gets the 4 bases up he can freely switch between Colossus and HT and has massive Zealot warpins. I think Toss is favored in the lategame and therefore Cloud Kingdom favors Toss because no player can end the game in the mid-game.
I don't want to take anything away from Seed, he is a great player and he played very well. But Jjakji was on par with him today and on another map this could have gone differently.
Just ahead of time, know your addiction's not a crime. It's just a smaller part of who you want to become in the end.

People have figured out the patch? I don't know, seems like koreans know something foreigners don't know when it comes to dealing with zergs.

Wait, are you trying to tell me that the balance of the races and the metagame can change without a patch?
