Mech doesn't work against a competent Protoss. At all. There's a reason it doesn't exist at the pro level.

Even Goody gave up using mech vs. P. The only pro I've seen using it recently is Hack and his mech doesn't work against a half decent toss player because it relies on hellions destroying the economy early game. I've seen another korean terran use mech v P as well. I think it was Alive, Supernova or someone like that. He played fucking brilliantly for 20 mins and then he got caught unsieged once and it was GG.

Shit, Taeja has stomped lategame Protoss armies, its all about dem EMPs. taeja always has 15+ ghosts in lategame, dunno why other terrans dont do that. ghosts are good DPS and HP-wise. He also lets his SCVs die and lean on mules which makes his army bigger than other terrans.

MKP used to have a problem with choking under nerves, so I guess his game wasn't too surprising. Hopefully, MVP shouldn't be fazed by nerves.

But this is how the game currently is. There was even this one interview with Blizzard, where they said that Terran was stronger in the early-mid stages of the game and have to finish it there or get a huge advantage. Or in other words: Blizzard said that Terrans need to do allin... No there wasn't. They just said that if both players lean back, Protoss can get an advantage, but Terran has enough tools early on to keep the game even.
I remember them saying it differently. Gonna find that interview and re-watch it. Maybe it was not as harshly formulated as I have it in mind.

no. mixing in hellions doesnt work, here is why: it is harder to produce, because they build from a different facility. they need extra upgrades. you can not afford to get vehicle upgrades, too.
