The only pro I've seen using it recently is Hack and his mech doesn't work against a half decent toss player because it relies on hellions destroying the economy early game. When has hack used it recently? Everyone keep talking about it but the only game I've seen was in TSL qualifier where he lost.

No. Chargelot Immortal beats every mech composition. problem is everyone thinks going mech means fully going mech. I still think adding in a few Blue flame helions to a toss going heavy on zealots and a few tanks to the bio army going into the end game, where you can sack SCV's and add army supply is a good idea. Staying MMM with vikings even with ghosts just cannot kill a full pro level protoss army.

Remember when people said mech wasn't viable against a good zerg 2 years ago? Check now. It can work, they're just not willing to try. There's Kespa players in proleague going Tank Hellion against Toss and making it work. That's also what I do on ladder and admittedly there's a skill discrepency but if you push properly and prepare for an air switch it's perfectly viable.

I really do think this engagement they're showing here was the major problem. His ghosts were almost worthless here, he just walked them right into the army, got stormed hardcore, and then... boom. MKP's Ghost control, or lack thereof, was what got him killed.

Yes even Goody, he's been using Bio mainly for like half a year now in TvP. There hasn't been a way figured out yet to play mech in TvP (beyond soem rare cheeses that is).

There was even this one interview with Blizzard, where they said that Terran was stronger in the early-mid stages of the game and have to finish it there or get a huge advantage. Or in other words: Blizzard said that Terrans need to do allin... No there wasn't. They just said that if both players lean back, Protoss can get an advantage, but Terran has enough tools early on to keep the game even.

On August 29 2012 20:16 Talack wrote: I just burst out laughing at your composition haha so is this a NR20 minute game with 20+ bases on the map? ![]() Er no. It's a standard Daybreak TvP against a toss that just sits back and builds up a deathball. Banshee hellion is the standard TvZ mech opener which is actually really effective against protoss too and a 20 minute battlecruiser transition is not hard to do. Can do it off three bases without much difficulty. Maybe 4, plus a few planetaries. Doesn't work at pro level, true, but then most pros are better at controlling bio than I am. Perfectly fine up to masters.
