it seems to me like taeja didnt want to win this. usually he either takes that risks in open battles even without superior army or dropping main which he didnt do while first was killing his 4th... come on taeja, its just IM

-its an extended series- this should be wrong, the only extended series which could have occured according to the rules is HerO vs First in Semis. Um, there were a few more extended series than just that. HerO versus Crank anyone? * Note: The Semifinals are the only round where an Extended Series can occur during the Championship Bracket, due to results from previous stages of the tournament not being carried over. The problem is that series I spoke about went to a game 7. Their match from before did carry over, so you can pull those quotes all you want, but it doesn't mean that there weren't extended series in the tournament earlier because there was. ._. Yeah, the guy didn't read properly: * Note: The Semifinals are the only round where an Extended Series can occur during the Championship Bracket, due to results from previous stages of the tournament not being carried over. the guy i quoted said the first series of Taeja vs First now would be extended series... this could only be the case it taeja played first before, which he did in the group matches... then i said it cant be extended, because the only extended series in the champ bracket could be hero agains vs first, which is totally correct (and the match if taeja wins the first BO3 now) Zzz it's because you guys didn't understand each other.
You were talking about the Championship Bracket only (apparently, otherwise you are still wrong). He was talking about the entire tournament.
Now obviously, in the entire tournament Extended Series happened a few times (so not just HerO vs First), which is what the guy said by giving the HerO vs Crank example. The note you quoted was about the Championship Bracket only, which therefore did not apply at all to what he said (HerO vs Crank was not in the Championship Bracket).
Anyway, confusion galore and I don't care enough /discussion.

Just brilliant play from Frist. Showing the skills that eliminated TaeJa from TSL4.

Well if you really wanna know I only watch GSL when it's the finals or when a foreigner plays.
thats a shame, cus the finals are usually far from the best matches that get played in the season. I cant really watch live because of work, but i watch all the vods the same day they are played.

In regards to the crowd size, there are 2 SC2 stages this go around and they both have medium/medium-large crowds. If combined they'd be about what we're used to.
Go StC!!

If only that ass hole didn't knock out IdrA, First most likely wouldn't be here.
Sasquatch also beat MKP, which meant Stephano couldn't avoid a zvz. Then he lost to Revival, meaning Stephano had to play Revival! Sasquatch is ruining esports! MKP lost to Trimaster and Revival not Sasquatch Don't ruin our fun with your facts. I still blame patchzergs for MKP, Stephano, and IdrAs losses.
Isn't Idra a patch zerg now ?!?!?!?!?

-its an extended series- No. First can advance by either winning 2 of the first 3 games. If Taeja wins 2 or 3 of the 3 games, First still has a shot in BO7, which starts with Taeja's lead. Imagine it like this, If Taeja wins the first Bo3 then he sends First down to the "loser's bracket". In this case the Loser's bracket is just him facing Taeja again. So in other words because First played better and avoided the losers.bracket he only has an advantage if he.can win the first bo3 . If not Taeja gets the advantage because they'd both lost one series at that point. MLG is such a joke and its a shame because I really want to like it MLG making things complicated Perhaps, but that's how the rules of the Finals of MLG Championships worked (with varying series length) since Dallas 2011, only because lots of them were rematches, they started as extended series instead. The popular alternative is 2x Bo3, where the WB player can go LLWLW and advance. This format still gives an advantage to the WB, but it's not as strong. Only that MLG's 2x bo3 favors the LB player if he wins because he's then up 2-1 in a bo7 series instead of having a clean slate and restart with a bo3 decider :/

Don't you follow the professional SC2 scene? First certainly isn't anymore, he's pretty good.. pretty good is like the understatement of the century, but yeah.

From what we've been seeing.. First would dominate both Leenock and StC. Of course this is all, if he beats TaeJa

First was a BW player. He's been around for a long time. And STC was being talked about as soon as the game came out, he was doing military duties for a bit of the time he was on oGs.

Well tell me what is so exciting about them? I look at their names and I have no strong feelings really. Yeah I've seen them in GSL alongside 100 other players and they just don't stand out.
