We even had a foreigner vs Korean final, with the zerg powerhouse Nerchio and fan-favorite MVP... What's left here? Teaja, that's OK, he's #1 terran in the world right now - but I don't think that he's the most exciting terran. It looks like he's going down anyway, as TvP still has it's issues. First - some random toss... TheSTC - some random terran... Leenock - well, it's nice to see him back, but there's just so much zerg anyway so who cares really. The exciting part at IEM was that we were kind of accustomed to the idea of eu zergs winning most of eu tournaments. But taking down the Koreans was something else and at least it made some people angry and inclined to find out how far can they actually go ![]() I don't see how you can say First and STC are some random players. Don't you follow the professional SC2 scene?

Perhaps, but that's how the rules of the Finals of MLG Championships worked (with varying series length) since Dallas 2011, only because lots of them were rematches, they started as extended series instead. The popular alternative is 2x Bo3, where the WB player can go LLWLW and advance. This format still gives an advantage to the WB, but it's not as strong.
