Lets give this a month or so and then you can put up the elephant in the room jokes. Remember when foreigners were beating Koreans in SC2 about a year ago? Yeah, now look at it. Swung back the other way. Umm thats not the reason we knew they would do well. When SC2 came out all those that couldnt cut it in BW switched over and one A-team called MVP. Those that switched over have been able to dominate the scene. So obviously skill sets transferred over for the most part. So once the switch was announced just based on who was on top in SC2, made it pretty clear that the best BW players will eventually be on top in SC2. The only question is how long, how much practice it is going to take until they figure out the game because once they do their superior multitasking and the speed at which they think their way through games will carry them to the top, just like in BW.
MVP was really a B team player but was considered A team because his team had such crappy terran players.

Looks like I spoke too soon, miserable fail already lol

i've been watching sc2 for more than a year now (didn't watch any bw after i stopped playing 2004) and i was entertained. But i always wondered what would happen if every BW Pro would switch. My opinion was that kespa players would need a lot of time to catch up and after 6++ months or so top GSL and top Kespa would be equally represented in the top 10. Clearly i was wrong. Somehow there is no visible progress for a couple of the best gsl players. No one is blowing me away anymore like DRG did when he came up.
btw how many Kespa players are there? How many of them will stick around?

Gumiho seemed a lot worse than usual tho. Starting to wonder if the kespa guys win by superior mechanics more than the gom guys losing by mistakes. I do think people are overstating the mistakes of the GSL players to some degree (I admit some of the mistakes are pretty bad) as when we watch these match ups, I think the players go under a bit more scrutiny than if they were just playing their GSL peers. Kespa has caught up to the standard level of the GOM pros now. Champion level? Probably not, but maybe soon. These guys were disappointing just a month ago, and now they are just total ballers. Kind of nuts. Are you surprised? If you asked me 3 months ago, I would say no. But after seeing some disappointing play in SPL, I can say I am indeed surprised at how fast they caught up. I thought something like beating DRG and then Gumiho back to back would happen about 2-3 months from now (basically beginning 2013). Very impressed. These guys are talented.
I was always hesitant to gauge Kespa from PL games...practicing both games really is just a huge waste of time. But then again, I'm also surprised at how quickly it happened.

Lets give this a month or so and then you can put up the elephant in the room jokes. Remember when foreigners were beating Koreans in SC2 about a year ago? Yeah, now look at it. Swung back the other way. I'm so fucking sick of these threads. So disgusting everytime a Kespa player wins the troll baiters come out to play. Just fucking cheer for your players you like without insulting literally every player that people who havnt watched much or any BW have followed for 2 years. It is ridiculously disrespectful. I really hope this goes the way of the USA Stephano chants considering how mods looked at that joke. The irony is of course that the guys rooting for Kespa are also acknowledging the play by GSL. The GSL fans are saying things like "wow GSL player X plays so bad". And by making generalisations like this and lumping everyone into the 'GSL fans' and 'Kespa fans' categories, the LR thread becomes a fucking wankfest. Best ignore Squeegy, he said that if you came here because of sc2 you should feel lesser then the people that came here because of BW/SC.

A. a player who started playing soccer 5 years ago. B. a player who started playing soccer 10 years ago.
Which do you want for your national team? ... Who cares as long as one is better now...

Yeah he was decently good before he quit but beating flash was his only accomplishment in BW

He also took a series off stork but i believe stork was in a bad slump at the time, so it's not really regarded as a big deal.
