Splitting Broodlords is not that hard to do. Coca threw that game much more then Seed won it. You shouldn't blame balance on this. You can blame the design but mostly you have to blame Coca for this loss.


You can argue splitting broodlords is not that hard to do till you're blue in the face. Pressing the vortex keybind is always going to be easier :p


It's certainly a lot easier to click banelings into marines than to split marines. They must be imbalanced.

They made units invulnerable for like 1 or 1.5 seconds after the vortex ends. Obviously it doesn't have that big of an impact as Blizzard imagined.


Because BLs don't really move much in 1-1.5 seconds...



Actually, if I remember correctly the change they made was more a buff of archon toilet than anything else, because Zerg can't counter it with banneling now.

Any top level zerg knows about the toilet though. Running 10+ broods into a vortex is not playing SO well, but actually playing pretty bad.

yeah but you cant split 15 BLs against 2 vortexes since it will ALWAYS get like 5, which means after 2 vortex there are 5 BLs left and the P army just stomps the Z then. lategame PvZ is just so retarded. they should get rid of toilet and buff carrier build time instead.

You can neural the Mothership, fungal Archons, use corruptors and infested terrans to zone the Mothership, use terrain to your advantage, etc. It's stupid to complain about it when pretty much everyone knows that Mothership is part and parcel of late game PvZ and have learnt to adapt.


I think the major complaint about the mothership isnt balance related. Its how you can basically erase 25-35 mins of game play by a single click (or missclick if you will). The mothership has always been a anti-climatic unit.

To clarify my point. On a map where you are taking expansions closer to each other (like Daybreak) there is no recovery time for either race.

The problem is that a split-second of distraction costs the game through that Vortex. As far as i know there was no such mechanic in BW, or was there?

Stop blaming mothership for that. Coca couldve killed Seed several times after killing 2 Nexus. It doesnt take a GM player to realize that doing templar tech + doing mothership tech + double expanding off of 2base with being 50 supply down is a huge risk. Then he threw away 50+ supply of roach/ling for the gain of a Nexus which had to be restarted. Coca allowed Seed to get the army he needed back up.

No they do it slowly and are cast by units of which a player can have more then 1 of. Why even debate different spells by different units when they are so different in design...
