Colossi are quite immobile and make your whole army immobile and Terrans seem to have recently re-discovered their ability to constantly be all over the map.
Colossi are still better on smaller/chokey maps, also viable for timing attacks, but don't really look like the best option in a standard game.

Colossi first seems a lot more flimsy. Hard to defend drops if you have to keep all your units together to protect them. Plus, 2 vikings at once... not much of a window.

Well it comes down to not being able to do aggression with Storm. If you make them want to close on you you can make them bathe in storms. You just can't chase after a ball and try to storm them.

That's a really interesting point about the chokes. You may well be right. I have to think about it.

Came late and I read about MaNa powered his whole stuff with 2 pylons and lost because of that; how did the game look before this, was it about even or did someone already have an advantage?

Not at all, Mana was already dead by then. The pylons were just the nails in the coffin.
