16 year old barely loses to ForGG in a 3-2 series and some people here flame him for being arrogant/being inexperienced enough to apply ladder results to tournaments

That was a difference in macro, not a difference in composition... The zerg army smashed the Terran army multiple times, but it was by pure macro forgg continued. Not saying that it's imbalanced, but in this game the terran's army was crushed over and over (which was probably forgg's plan)

I don't see why he doesn't play more greedy. Against a queen-heavy defense it's viable to open with bio and take a fast third base; the lack of early gas means any type of zerg pressure will be very delayed. Even the initial gas will probably be put into defensive roaches/banelings or upgrades prior to speed.

And how do you scout that if you don't make Hellions?

He barely won 3-2 wtf are you 2 smoking. Jonnyrecco did good.

Both macrogames ForGG just stomped him. A few stupid ladderbuilds(the ones that JRecco has 70 win% vs) that I don't really get but eh

Your other statement was utter bullshit about forgg "pressuring" Jrecco on Metropolis, and this was just as bad. I'd like to think a Code S/A Terran player who displayed sublime macro would be able to win in his position.

well he made a couple of mistakes: upgrades, too many SCVs, some bad fights which delayed the inevitable.

LOL. You rarely play this game right? JohnyRecco's creep spread was horrible, unti control horrible (please count the number of infestors he lost, he didn't have burrow), Didn't even pressure ForGG's third when forgg invested in 5 OC. Come on man be serious.

Well to be fair, Jonnyrecco is really bad at macroing compared to ForGG, and ForGG just completely outplayed in those games which he went macro.

Implying being 16 is a disadvantage? I'd say that's the best age for a player

Terrans, explain to me the logic behind the marauder hellion. Why would you mass 2 units that aren't even good against queens to counter the metagame of massive amounts of queens

it's not that hard to understand....
hellions kill lings
marauders kill roaches

queens don't kill anything so T wins if Z is unprepared

Queen has same DPS as roach and effectively like twice the hp vs Marauders, mass Queens are very strong vs them

yeah mass but not 4 or 6

6 should be enough, actually. The transfure spam is so strong that you will need maybe a spine and a few roaches but it's a simple defense.

6 queen build means you start your 5th&6th queens at 5min40sec and they finish at 6min30sec.
Stim finishes at 8min25sec for marauder hellion all-in.
Ling speed takes 110sec to research.
Therefore, 6queen build requires relatively fast gas to stop this push. Dilamma is that with 6 queen builds, your whole purpose is to delay gas as long as possible.
That's why marauder hellion is very strong.
ForGG's build was so optimal that I think his stim finished around 8min22sec or so.

Don't really need lingspeed vs marauder-hellion, you rely on queens and roaches and transfuse(if you scout it coming ofc)

I analyzed this marauder hellion pretty intensively down to second when 6 queen build was not common, so I would love to see how it works out vs current metagame. About 6 months ago, it hit right before ling speed finish for then greedy Zerg and hellions could kite 3 range queen and slow ling forever while marauders do damage. With 5 range queen, skipping ling speed might be the answer as you said. Back then, not finishing ling speed in time was auto death to this push vs decent hellion micro.

ok you're blind. double CC after cloack shee first time in this serie.

There is no point in going cloaked banshee against this opening. You can get faster upgrades, more infantry and a faster third.

you don't know the purpose of mind games that's all.
He showed the eact same stuff as when he allined except this time with a fucking greedy opening.
And REcco made unit without attacking against a mother fucking greedy build.

And if ForGG was really smart he wouldn't be banking on a simple mindgame because he would've already won this series.

CosmicSpiral officially knows better than forGG what forGG should do. I'm so impressed and jealous of such a smart guy.

That's such a flimsy argument to make.

better than pretending than one of the best rts players is dumb.

Because the best rts players can't make stupid mistakes sometimes. Okay.

there is a difference between stupid mistakes and choosing your builds. I'd agree that his all in is bad but saying that facking is bad is utterly retard.

So that's what you interpreted from my comment? Lay off the pipe bro. I think ForGG should play different, greedier openers and he'd have better results because of it.
