Is it that hard to believe that some people wanted a close, back-and-forth series where more FXO players were showcased? I wanted to see Leenock and Tear do some work and wanted to just see more games overall, and especially the insane dramatic tension of an ace match.

that was not a boring finals really.

i know personally i wanted to see a few more players/games, but four out of the five games were really good.

I never said it was a boring finals, people (like the guy iSunrise was replying to) are prone to hyperbole. But I really wanted to see more games and just wanted it to be closer. I wouldn't have been happy if SlayerS got an all-kill either.

Yeah, more games with other players from FXO would probably have been great. But since that didn´t happen it´s pretty hard to argue that it would´ve been a better finals afterwards. We just don´t know. I was extremely pleased to see Gumiho playing his heart out and I could feel that he was very happy, too.

As an aside, kind of surprised that SlayerS didn't throw more Tosses at Gumiho given that he recently got rolled by Squirtle in Code A and was taken out by a Toss player last time he played in the team league if I remember correctly. Alicia instead of Min would have been a much better choice IMO, it's been shown that you have to stop Gumiho early or he tends to go on a roll. Only in the ace match did they finally use a Toss and there was just too much pressure on Puzzle to play aggressively and/or optimally.

Still, no denying that the finals was really exciting. Calling it boring is just stupid.

but a zerg on atlantis spaceship, when gumiho is also a tad shaky against zerg, and THEN a great zerg on metropolis would be more than enough for almost any terran.

I mostly agree, although they clearly prepared Min as a sniper, but Gumiho knew this and thus did the greediest build known to man figuring that Min wouldn't deviate from the gameplan that he had, and Gumiho was right. If Min all ined right there, theres no way Gumiho holds. You can't hold four CCs off of two Marines.

EDIT: And where's my Choi Ha Na fan thread dammit!

Kind of relative and subjective; so it's a different definition of "exciting" for every individual really...

I mean some people think that having 1-2 good games is exciting, some people thinks that only getting to an ace match is exciting; some people thinks it's exciting as long as it's better than last season's Vegas shitfest, some people thinks it's only exciting if it gets to an ace match classic DRG vs MMA level like a few season back.

So I don't know why you guys are still arguing over something that everyone defines completely differently lol

I just don't have any faith in Min. He hasn't shown himself to be anywhere near Gumiho's level, even with those TvZ stats.

Whaaaaaaaaaat?!? Certainly didn't expect that to happen...
With an average game length of 7m36s over his 6 games in GSL3, this is a no-brainer. BitByBit pulls more SCVs than yo momma at a club on Mar Sara. ♞

Well I haven't read the rest of the posts here yet but here are my thoughts on the series:

LOVED IT.

I mean, I was rooting for slayers so that sucked, but Gumiho played SO well that I can look past that:

Game one was the pinocle of macro by Gumiho against the best multi pronged attacks in the business by MMA. Both players played SO well though. MMA just overextended twice and those two manner mules coulda been the difference as well. Still, not many players could break that contain SO well like that.

Game two... Was wierd. Not sure why Slayers went for min rather than Alicia or Ryung for their sniper. I mean sure if Min wins he has better matchups ahead, but still seems like faulty logic to me. That build by Gumiho was rediculous though. He had 6 command centers by twelve minutes! I feel like the macro orbital is extremely strong at the pro level because players need to learn an extra set of timings against it, we saw that in game five as well.

Game three was pretty damn exciting. The Best has taught Gumiho well.

Same with game four. That build is free spawn of Satan. I almost want to switch to Terran I love that build so much.

Game five was a fairly standard TvP but puzzle's obs being out of position cost him the game. Was strait up play though which is a nice way to finish off the all kill.

Grats to Gumiho, me and my buddies were thuroughly entertained.
I root for Euro Zergs, NA Protoss* and Korean Terrans. (Any North American who has beat a Korean Pro as Protoss counts as NA Toss)
