It's fair but it's stupid. Saying that the person who lost the match starts with a 2-0 advantage in the extended series (instead of the winner) is also fair. But it's also stupid. | ||

If you then make it through the LB to face your adversary again you've already "suffered" for the loss; why is a double penalty "fair"? Unless you're talking about the Losers vs Winners match, in which case the entire point is that it's not fair because the person coming from the WB deserves an advantage. | ||

In a double elimination format, how would you give the person who is current undefeated a second chance against a person who has already lost when there is no losers bracket left to go through? Its essentially the 2 games combined into 1. | ||
