... at least, we are not unimpressed!
Terra fighting - liquid fighting! Congratz TaeJa!
Well, I am unimpressed, Alicia should never stand a chance against Taeja and the only zerg that Taeja played is known for losing games by himself whilst trying extremely outdated builds and shooting himself in the foot more often than not, I'd say I'm carefully hopeful at best.
Sad for Alicia but happy as fuck for Taeja, I can't wait to see if he can carry the momentum into the championship and get his next win in front of a big crowd.
My standout of the tournament is still First though for his crazy run from the lower bracket.
Fnatic actually comes out as winners as well for qualifying the most players for pool play in the summer championship with 3 although Slayers, TL and IM each have 2 players.

They sign good players and give them the chance to play in foreign tournaments...Taeja always performed well.
Yes Taeja was good, but I also think that Nazgul has a great eye for talent. While HerO and Taeja were were somewhat known, they were not the Code S monsters they are currently
Congrats Taeja!!!
I mean, I'm not going to argue they don't do well under the teamliquid banner but they were always good players. Hero was recommended by oGs for a reason, and Taeja was always doing amazing in online Korean weeklys. And Hero isn't currently a Code S monster. Take Alicia for example...if TL signed him and then sent him to the same tournaments he's been to people would be like "wow, look at him taking these second places under TL after not doing anything for a year!"
If only the rest of Liquid would be as good as Hero / Taeja then we could say he has a great eye for talent. Picking Korean players will always be good imo

Yes I am.
no cause now Zerg is UP, top 4 was 3 Toss 1 Terran and ZERO ZERG WTF???
No DRG, no Symbol, and an underperforming Stephano
Stephano wasn't underperfomning, he showed he's the best foreigner outside of Korea and that Koreans is still better than any foreigner not practising with Korean standards.

Korea has a ton of mediocre players (especially relative to Korean competition). It's definitely not always going to be good, not even close. Complexity proved that, also Fnatic with the likes of Rain etc, and you could even say the same about Zenio, Quantic's pickups haven't been too great, etc. You can't randomly select a Korean without a contract and hope he'll actually win shit.
Besides, eye for talent doesn't help either if the talent doesn't want to work as hard, and foreigners usually don't.

Taeja had a ro8 before joining Liquid, he was already a code S monster, but I think HerO definetely improved a lot.
No, he had not. He had two Ro32 finishes in Code S before joining Liquid. The seasons where he got Ro8 were completely played under Liquid flags.
Not really, he was already well enough in season 2 when he was signed, ro16 after beating JJ and DRG iirc.
