he scouted the proxy quite late. I think taeja usually proxies in weird positions but this time he didnt (think the commentators mentioned it as well?)

I always target fire medivacs with my cannons. If you have at least two cannons shooting, the medivac will most likely die. Cannons can be destroyed by dropped units but medivac will be dead already which helps a lot.

It would help, he was simply behind and didn't have the money. You normally do see cannons for drop defense in the midgame.
