With as quickly as GSL actually moves and the strength of Code A seemingly becoming better and better (If I were a pro and a consistent Code A late-round player, I'd be quite happy with my accomplishments even if I never made Code S), everyone who is eliminated will return quickly if they deserve it. Maru and Parting, imo, will crush their competition and at least make Up/Downs with relative ease. for AcE or Taeja to advance, being perceived as weaker players in comparison to those going down in other groups, would be awesome in my book. It means that there is more competition in GSL as a whole and upsets can still happen. What happens if AcE makes RO8? Suddenly he is "legit" despite being mediocre Code A/GSTL sniper style player. If they didn't deserve this spot, and the other the RO16 spot, they will lose and lose again early in Code A. I'm ok with that. Code S is so dynamic with the new setup, and lets give props to whoever wins, even the longshots. If ace makes ro8 he won't suddenly be legit, Rain reached the finals and that didn't make him legit, there are many other examples.

Taeja was a RO8 last season, I feel like he deserves code S if you look at who he went through. AcE: I have no idea about. I used to think he was pretty much a mascot but he has been awesome for ST randomly.

That was a different time though, getting deep in the GSL is way way harder nowadays. Hell, even staying in is harder then making the finals back then x_x

I mentioned Leenock's real problem - you mentioned that Leenock "understands the game so well, that he is stuck in a mindset of doing his own thing", and the impression you gave is that is Leenock's issue for his defeat. But it is not - he can be successful doing his own thing - he just needs to play better to be successful.

SC2 isn't as simple as playing bad and losing you can see many more things from a game. ok but thats really weird because leenock actually used to go quick broodlords before other zergs, even tho he likes to mix up a lot. cant it just be he has really bad condition, and feels awful all around today ? he tried to go bls deathball vs ryung too, he based his play around it, took daybreak with this intent...
