4.

2 advanced out of 3 this stage, 2 in the last groups (Thorzain and Taeja)

To be frank, there aren't many top Terrans participating in this tourney.

http://wiki.teamliquid.net/starcraft2/2012_DreamHack_Open/Summer#Notable_Participants

in general there are not many top tier players at the tournament. there are 2 code S protoss players and 2 code S terrans and that's it. the rest is a good round of european and some american talent.

Very true. A nice place for up-and-comers to shine through though =)

Can't be too hard to guess the top 8 of the remaining players. My guess:
(P)SaSe
(T)TaeJa
(P)HerO
(P)HuK
(Z)Stephano
(T)ThorZaIN
(P)NaNiwa
(Z)Nerchio (Maybe (Z)Ret)

Love to see the ROX.KIS guys perform this well, but I doubt they'll make it Deep Into the playoffs, unless they get Lucky with the brackets.

Harstem is a Dutch player and an ex-wc3 player. He is good friends with Grubby, and he is grandmaster on the eu server.

At this rate, even though I'm a Protoss, I hope Vampire does lose. It'd be nice to see more racial and foreginer variety in the ro16.
Shut up and play the game!

Harstem is a 17yr old dutch protoss player playing for Team Mousecontrol He is arguably the third best dutch player (right behind Grubby and Ret). His best matchup is PvP, closely followed by PvT. His PvZ used to suck, but he improved alot. He casted some Go4SC2 Cups with Rotterdam, barely missed to qualify for IEM Sao Paolo, played in all of the Grubbys Pro invitationals etc If you followed the scene closely, you knew he will have his breakout soon. I announced it in the "breakout players outlook for 2012" article already Guys got talent!

In the words of Take, what we have here is not a winner, but two losers.

So many unknwon eu players. I hope there will be a better coverage for european players in the future. There are so many good players from the east european reagion, and russia... A lot of players are so exposed because their teams are good at putting the spotlight on them, teams like EG, still there are a lot of just as good players thate never really get exposed to the world because they have no team to support them.
