There's so much shit that people would pay for if they couldn't get it free. They are potential customers, they simply don't pay because they can get it for free. That's an absolutely terrible argument. There's a ridiculous amount of people for example that have bought SC2 because they couldn't pirate it to play online.
People have pirated a ton of shit that I'm sure they would have bought otherwise, myself included. And I would say this is the norm. People who say otherwise are often deluding themselves.

Agreed

hm, watching the replay now, 192 vs 112 supply before the drop. Could MC hold it straight up anyway?

That's a sweeping generalization.
Plenty of people switch to buying the real thing if they realize that pirated copies are insufficient. It's a conflict between supply and demand. If demand is big, but supply (restreams) are also big, then people won't pay- they''ll just watch restreams.
But there are a significant minority who probably would pay for MLG in the end, if they had not been given links to restreams.
Most importantly in all of this is the depravity I find in the people outright promoting restreams here. If you want to watch a restream, ok, fine. There's nothing I can really do. But actively sharing it with other people? That is truly killing esports.

stop saying : "terrans that complain should remember 4 titles in gsl " , that was the PAST this is NOW , this argument is bullshit.
I'm not saying zerg is too strong or something just that the argument is stupid, i think zerg descovered things like drop finally and that's why they win ... not balance.
|
Going to be the shortest MLG finals thread ever I'm guessing. 3 ZvZ's in a row.
|
Will they shorten the schedule now? Else we'll have a lot of downtime with all this ZvZ.
|
|
|
Ok only zergs left. Go stephano!
|
Oh no i'm getin the lag ya'll r talkin about finally ;*(. Also though you guys complaining about this arena are silly....This arena was totally stacked with koreans and the finals are not purely korean doesn't that make u happy? I mean not to dis Korean success but you know foreign success is special in my heart ♥
|
I hope Stephano wins this MLG.
I think it's better that MC doesn't reach the finals because of extended series rule that would make the finals anticlimatic anyways.

|
Why don't these guys play like this in the GSL? I love that Protoss is doing well again but no Zergs at all made the last rounds a bit boring. I hope they can step it up next season.

in game 1 MC teched colossi + got 3rd, without having delt any eco damage...

Yes he could have, if the drop wasnt there, FF's would have done so much. But I feel like MC should sim city the third. Otherwise the nexus is free food.

You should stop hating ignorantly and watch Idra's interview in this MLG. He admitted he was playing very bad at the moment It took a lot of obvious facts to change idras mind though.
"at the moment". Meanwhile Idra has been complaining about zerg sucking since beta.

Nah. Massing roaches is almost a free win against protoss.

I sort of agree, i don't like a lot of the new maps, i quit @ season 2 and only recently started playin again and all the maps are marco game maps now, easy 2 base for everybody, and normally i notice protoss struggle to get a 3rd
gotta love it though .. also how good are roaches? How much do they cost? 75-25? wish my stalkers cost that :D
edit in relation to the arena you just see marco for 10-20 min, then 1 big fight and a gg called.. not the most exciting although sockes game vs thorzain was epic

Agreed I'd put Violet up there as well, he seems perennially underated. Which is really odd, as 2 of the top 4 Zergs are from outside of Korea (Violet trains in USA).
