GOM's explanation is that they were always going to charge for the stream of the four extra matches that didn't fit in the regular broadcast; the timing of those matches had nothing to do with the decision to implement the premium wall. Ok I must have missed those threads. So their reason is that instead of having actual dual streams (play 2 games at a time with one watchable stream for the light ticket holders) they now only play one game at a time but make the first half of the games premium content? It would make sence but it is still a change of their terms since I bought my ticket.

Where does it say that? In the ticket store, the Light tickets are about the only things that don't have "all" or "complete" in their description.

I LOVE that Yugioh is not afraid to chill on two base and tech against Protoss. Game 1 and 2 were so different from any other Zerg style I've seen lately that I'm really hoping other pros pick up on that. I think Protoss players really have that double expo style figured out, so why keep banging your head against that metaphorical wall?

I am sorry but last season, wasnt the discussion about how we couldnt watch the dual stream? I didnt feel screwed then because they didnt breach their terms they set up when I bought my ticket (even if many people that couldnt read felt they were screwed). Now its a totally different situation. They say I can watch "HQ LIVE", which means everything except "Dual Streams". Since there are no dual streams I should be able to see the games. They are breaching their terms and for that I am a bit angry.

Exactly the charts are really misleading and had I known they would pull stuff like this on me, I would have paid the extra for the premium, but it's not like im gonna pay the the premium prize now and basically waste 20 bucks I already paid for the light ticket..

So that makes it ok for them to do like that? I didnt watch last weeks Code A so I missed the discussion then. They should have realized they made a mistake already last week and made the content free for light ticket users and then made it clear for next season what games are actually included in the packages.

No you paid more money for more features, for more stuff.. etc etc.. not for exclusive GSL content, that was NEVER obvious for anyone, and don't go thinking I can't shell out more money to get my GSL content, cus I can, and I would've, had I known wtf was going on. But at this point I am pissed, and obviously dont want to buy a premium ticket and completely waste the 20 bucks I paid for the light ticket I am in possession of.

It's possible to upgrade your season ticket without overpaying, but you'll have to email support@gomtv.net for them to do it manually (that function is not integrated into the website).

What light ticket holders that complain about this fail to realise is that everyone gets exactly what they payed for at the start of the season...
That is actually not true. Before the season I knew I COULD only watch one of the two games (since it was a dual stream, I can only watch one game at a time) and decided I could stick with the free game they gave to me and watch the premium game on VOD later. Now they broadcast the games one at a time which means I CAN watch all the games. I dont care the result in the end is that I can watch the same number of games live. Their terms in the beginning of the season affected my decision on what package to buy and now it turns out to be different from what they said. A change of terms is wrong no matter what.

And this is the 2nd time Gom have disappointed me in how they do business. I have no passion anymore (like tasteless ololol) so I doubt that I can continue hating on GOM. Actually, that is not true. GOM's definition of dual stream has always been weird. Even when two games was going on simultanously, light subscribers were only able to watch stream #1 and not stream #2, that is why people are saying you get the same games with both setups (not just number of games but the exact matches). Only difference now is that time of stream #2 has been changed so premium subs can see both sets of game 1 at a time. For light subs, there is no difference.

One of the GOM employees clarified their point of view somewhere on their forums (can't be bothered to find it right now). Basically, he mentioned that the description of the "Dual Stream" service in the ticket store is: "In case it is not possible to broadcast every match on the main stream, a simultaneous second stream will be available to premium users to catch 100% of the action[...]"
The first part did not change (they still can't show half the matches on the main broadcast stream); they only made the timing of the second "premium" stream earlier (most likely due to having only two casters available for the day). So if anything, the "change in terms" is that they should have struck out/deleted the word "simultaneous" from the description.
Edit: Of course, that doesn't resolve the issue of the service being called "Dual Stream" when they're not exactly "dual" anymore.

Lol, it is true. You just said so yourself. You weren't able to watch the games if they were broadcast at the same time, and you're not able to watch them when they are broadcast one after the other. In terms of service and product you are getting the exact same thing. They just aren't able to broadcast the games at the same time anymore, since moletrap is no longer with Gom anymore.

Actually, a lot of people was in your situation last week and there was a huge discussion on it. So I think that is why you are getting negative feedback now because we went through this already last week.

No they totally screwed us over, it says we should be able to watch all GSL live content, Dual stream is a feature among many others that premium ticket holders pay for.. The GSL live Content is as it reads supposed to be the same all across the board.. If that is not the case, then they should be a whole lot more clear on what the differences are .. and not, I repeat NOT act like they are selling light ticket holders access to all GSL live content, becus' clearly they are not..

I am sorry but last season, wasnt the discussion about how we couldnt watch the dual stream? I didnt feel screwed then because they didnt breach their terms they set up when I bought my ticket (even if many people that couldnt read felt they were screwed). Now its a totally different situation. They say I can watch "HQ LIVE", which means everything except "Dual Streams". Since there are no dual streams I should be able to see the games. They are breaching their terms and for that I am a bit angry.
Last week's Code A games were the same. I paid extra money to be able to watch the dual stream games. If they allow light ticket holders to watch it, then I paid more money for nothing. That isn't what I paid for, I'd be screwed over. It goes both ways, you see.
No you paid more money for more features, for more stuff.. etc etc.. not for exclusive GSL content, that was NEVER obvious for anyone, and don't go thinking I can't shell out more money to get my GSL content, cus I can, and I would've, had I known wtf was going on. But at this point I am pissed, and obviously dont want to buy a premium ticket and completely waste the 20 bucks I paid for the light ticket I am in possession of.

You don't need to buy a new ticket, you can upgrade your current one. There, if you have money you can fork out then you should be good to go. And this is the 2nd time Gom have disappointed me in how they do business. I have no passion anymore (like tasteless ololol) so I doubt that I can continue hating on GOM. But I do believe that light ticket holders (I am not the only one pissed off about this incident) have a point and reason to feel screwed over by GOM.

try moving your mouse cursor to the top of the screen. That bar seems to appear if your cursor is in the bottom half of your screen.

Byun is doing great atm. In the team league, though, he has yet to encounter a terran. So we don't really know about the state of his tvt right now. Last time both met Nada got 2-0'ed in the ro16 of code S puppy season.

See I'm a DJ, and I tend to listen to and play more femminine sounding music, lately been experimenting with mixing top 40, electro, house and trance. And I think it'd be really cool to mix in some k-pop, I don't understand the lyrics but to me music is so much more about emotion to me. but when your opponent has so many gates, you can sac a bit of your econ. Spines are much more cost effective vs zealots and stalkers. I think he felt safe after killing the first probes and didn't think Vines would still go ahead with the attack.
Wooh! Happy that my Liquibet on Lure paid off, it was mainly based on him playing one of the best PvZ's I've ever seen in the ESV weekly, despite him actually loosing the series, and also that Inca's PvP is wildly overated. I can't see the liquibet poll for some reason, but based on the comments no body else went for Lure.

Lucky had a few hundred minerals, surely 2 spines on the nat and the 3rd wouldn't have been too hard? Could have placed it on the intersection between his 3rd and nat as well, he had his creep far our enough. 4 spines would have made that push look easy peasy with roach support since spines are so good against zealots and stalkers.

It is likely KeSPA will want their players playing in their own league. Unless they are really confident they will do well. Because if the BW pros bomb out in qualifiers (which can happen since they just started playing), then the PL will be a joke.

I don't really feel that way. The only thing that they tried to point through was that Lucky is a decent player and seeing his performance in the teamleague, it is clear that he is no-code B material. Same stands for Nada and Byun or even Alicia and Bomber, even though I always thought Alicia was super hyped (blame Artosis and Alicia's 2-0 over MC in the Super Tournament).

Not sure why Alicia tried to flank. Much easier to defend at the 3rd with cannons. With templars pre-split, can get 2-3 good storms off. But Bomber did really well with his snipes.
Bomber running over Alicia. Alicia was always decent but somehow his macro and overall multitasking dosen't seem to have improved from a long time ago. His mis-rallied colossus showed that.

Completely untested thought: Why not build the 3rd CC (or even a 4th CC, as you don't need nearly as many Bunkers) on the high ground near the natural choke, and if you think a Gateway attack might be coming, float it down to the choke and morph it into a PF? Surely that would be impenetrable, and it only takes 10 seconds longer to morph the PF than to build a Bunker (which the huge HP CC would easily survive).

Worked out really well for him.
He accumulated a huge bank, build panic gates at his third and could spend his bank in 2 warp in rounds after he defended, then he 1 a'ed to victory.

Bomber started to have really ineffecient attacks. Losing at the 3rd, being repelled at the nat and even losing 2 drops in the main. And since he didn't kill the forges 2/2 finished up. Chargelot/Archon with 2/2 is really not bad against MMM. And on top of this, Alicia may have been down on supply. But having 2,5k/1,4k in the bank will give a huge boost in army size, when the production kicks in again.

you can counter on both Cloud Kingdom and Daybreak because it takes less than 1minute to reach a base of your opponent, not here. You can't even punish the fact the toss has 0 tech because of that, which is quite stupid.

First Alicia got the advantage earlier. Also after unpowering Alicia's production, Bomber was loosing units with FFs everywhere, drops were really well stopped. Rush at the front and no drop would have been even better maybe.

Once Alicia stabilised, he had a sick eco, with sick amounts of gates. Bomber on the other hand had a 4th CC, with like 13 maruaders and 14 marines, 3 ghosts and a few medivacs when Alicia had shit loads of archons zealots, etc etc.

Once Alicia stabilised, he had a sick eco, with sick amounts of gates. Bomber on the other hand had a 4th CC, with like 13 maruaders and 14 marines, 3 ghosts and a few medivacs when Alicia had shit loads of archons zealots, etc etc.

First Alicia got the advantage earlier. Also after unpowering Alicia's production, Bomber was loosing units with FFs everywhere, drops were really well stopped. Rush at the front and no drop would have been even better maybe.
I dunno though. Bomber's army seemed weaker than Alicia's army straight up though. But yeah, maybe he should have went for a big push at the nat or the third. Might have been able to tear down Alicia's army while he was still having trouble reinforcing.
Delaying P's production is typically not a hard advantage. If you get unfavorable engagements with your army, all of that bleeds away instantly.
Theres like 3 major things going on here: The fast 3 nexus Warpin mechanics Chrono upgrades
And they combine to push P ahead super fast in practically every aspect of the game (except tech units). It's preferable to not overextend, and knock out the P 3rd.

That's what people need to understand. The games are balanced asymmetrically, so you do have to play races differently. If depowering production is really as ineffective as the whiners in this thread say, then don't target the production specifically when you drop.

From my understanding, early 3rd by P is not punishable by bio play. At best you can break even. Consider the timing at which bio moves out. Bio is better when the P doesn't take a 3rd and gets tech at a significant cost to unit production. Vs a 3rd, you will have 3rax, 5rax finishing when you move out. You will simply be repelled by unit count.
What early 3rd seems to be punished by is the fast 2 gas after CC -> cloakshee/tank play. This essentially is the hard counter, not only does it block the massive gate push with 2nd shee+siege, it collects an autowin by killing tons of probes with your first shee.
Of course the thing is that you blindly determine your build. You don't get to put down +2gas AFTER you confirm 3rd nexus, you do it 1m before! So this the "coinflip" nature of SC.

Bomber started to have really ineffecient attacks. Losing at the 3rd, being repelled at the nat and even losing 2 drops in the main. And since he didn't kill the forges 2/2 finished up. Chargelot/Archon with 2/2 is really not bad against MMM. And on top of this, Alicia may have been down on supply. But having 2,5k/1,4k in the bank will give a huge boost in army size, when the production kicks in again.

I guess the frustrating thing is: Fast 3 nexus into mass gate attack. Tons of bunkers so he holds. Then you have a 100 second window before chargelot archon is out. So even after you hold the mass gate, the toss isn't behind in tech at all as all his zlots (vs just getting 2 medivacs out) have charge and so you need to turtle back to a good ghost count on a large map like this, because you just can't engage cost effectively without a good ghost count. Maybe the solution is to go ghost before medivacs but on such a large map again, you need medivacs, or any stim you make to catch harassing units while you walk across the map hurts you a ton. I mean sure Bomber lost the 2 medivacs but his ENTIRE MAIN. ~12 gates, tons of pylons, a nexus, templar archive. Worth nothing?

Yes it can work, but it's pretty much all in.
It's not light pressure that doesn't even have to do damage, but already pays off if you keep your opponent in his base, so I don't see how you can compare it to the Parting build except that both builds involve a fast third.

Yes, it is true. But Protoss can get a good idea of T's marine count and THEN decide to take a 3rd. If the T tries to hide his marine count by only have 2-3 marines at the ramp, the stalker will kill them all. Basically the stalker is the scout. If 2-3 marines, kite and kill and play safe since banshees might be coming. If 6-8 marines, then you can take quick 3rd.

What, you think Alicia is going to go for a macro game after losing all that? Look at the army supply, it wasn't in Bombers favor anymore after trading so inefficiently at Alicia's natural/3rd. His macro slipped or he didn't have enough production. Either way it shouldn't have happened.

1st game was a good example imo: blind vikings but then excellent movements and fights leading to a one sided victory, imo Alicia wasn't on par but I doubt Bomber can beat top protosses atm.

Maybe he shouldn't have lost his army advantage with split engagements. If he had just ran away, joined his army into a ball and attacked after he did all that damage in the base he probably rolls over him. Once he loses his army advantage, and THEN alicia is able to warp in and spend his bank, do you think hes not going to attack?

Maybe he shouldn't have lost his army advantage with split engagements. If he had just ran away, joined his army into a ball and attacked after he did all that damage in the base he probably rolls over him. Once he loses his army advantage, and THEN alicia is able to warp in and spend his bank, do you think hes not going to attack?

Bomber isn't as good as he could be because of his tendency to make some weird decisions but his mechanical ability is right up there with anyone else. Alicia on the other hand has always been characterised by poor mechanics, despite some flashy plays that temporarily wowed people (his cool DT play in his original Code A run for instance).

Yeah i don't think Alicias comeback was that great. He just had a ton of money since he couldn't produced anything, warped in lots of units then attacked.
Bomber messed up by overextending more than Alicia having a great comeback. Call it a comeback, but its certainly not one of the classics.

Sniper played very well last season, close to making Code S too.

Avenge could have just retreated after the free third snipe, a better Protoss would have done that I think, but Avenge is probably more on the "random all inny" side of Protoss.

Yeah because flank repeatedly, stall out toss long enough to get burrow move roaches, baiting out a ton of force fields, and waiting for your opponent to over commit into your natural is really just making roaches.

I said it was well played just above. But if you really want to hear it, I'll say it: he stalled out brilliantly...for more roaches. It's not even like his micro was perfect, he lost quite a bit of roaches by "baiting".
Avenge could have just retreated after the free third snipe, a better Protoss would have done that I think, but Avenge is probably more on the "random all inny" side of Protoss.
Your last point would have Avange take that game. I wish there was a more fancy way for Zerg to stop 2 base all ins but roaches seem the only thing that work.

If you're going to trade like that you need like 80+ drones so you can rebuild really quickly. The zerg is trading less than efficiently on an economy basically the same as the protoss, so it's not going to work.

PvT is the only matchup where he does a lot of timings in tournament games. He really has the best PvZ by far but sadly no one will see that for a long ass time because zergs failed so hard this season. T_T

We'll see. I gotta give you credit, you've been hyping him for ages before he had his breakout at IPL, and everyone else noticed him. He's in a long line of Toss since MC trying to take the title of best in the world, and while I think Squirtle is more in the line of Parting and Genius Protoss hopes (really good) rather than an Alicia, I'm still hesitant to say best PvZ, especially when MC has dropped one series in 2012 I believe.

Lategame where you get mass infestor/blord/corruptor and spinewalls is boring on alot of maps tho. I just hope HOTS gives a more dynamic answer to the composition rather than landing a good vortex

Yeah with warp prism (with speed even) the protoss can harrass worse than terran imo. The ability to warp in an army in the back of a base, or DTs, is scary. And with so many hp and so much speed it's really hard to shut the harrass down. Too many Protoss are used to the old turtle up till max and 1a, but some of the better Ps are starting to harrass and stuff so hopefully it'll catch on.
neither Nada or Byun should be out of GSL so its a tough one to call. but i feel like Nada might have a harder time making it back in so i hope he wins.

Indeed. It was a very small timing window that Nada had and Byun was acutely aware of it, as seen by how much he prepared to handle it. I'd say there's plenty of other players that are greedier than your average prime player, hell Byun lost at IPL to MMA after MMA took a third off a 1/1/1 set up with no real defensive units.

He signed with CoL like 3 months ago so obviously his military service isn't going to happen for a little while longer.
I hope he sticks around long enough that if the SC2 proleague thing does go through he and July can go to the military and help ACE through the transition or something.
IF Nada really wanted to win a championship, he would have focused everything on his game and ignored his college (correct me if im wrong) and the running of Nada Mall.
I just don't think he practises enough anymore, especially with all the other distractions in his life.

Im not sure if sarcasm or not but if he REALLY wanted to do it he had plenty of opportunities to do so. Its not like NaDa of all people couldn't handle it, he was in oGs but had different priorities at that time while oGs had one of the most stacked roster.

Everyone who knows NaDa potential should know it already. But i was reluctant to say it, to be frank Boxer and NaDa are just enjoying well earned retirement . Competitive side of SC2 is just a small flavor of it. They already exhausted their potential in BW. And Nada frankly speaking still had potential to shake SC2 scene if he really wanted to which makes me kinda sad. Like barely half a year before sc2 release he was making a good run into MSL. He was really a Bonjwa in BW while he never looked like it while playing SC2 which is a pity kinda.

He's been one of the most consistent players in the GSL, and unlike guys like Ensnare, he actually made several deep runs. This season, he lost to Leenock, MMA and GKP, which are all very strong players who would have beaten most players they faced.

I wish you could have worded that a bit better. But keep in mind, whenever someone plays better players, their play will always look mediocre in comparison.
I heavily reccomend the Vampire-Yugioh game, a more than 30 minute ZVP with intense positional and strategical play. In it: Neuraling a Warp prism 5 motherships being built. Queen-Baneling-Broodlord-Infestor play 6 base vs 6 base

You lose in Code S, you either drop to Code A Round 1 or Round 2. Everyone who falls to Round 2 is guaranteed a spot in Code A no matter how badly they perform over the rest of the season; everyone in Round 1 is in danger of dropping out of the GSL if they lose one Bo3. So yes the difference is VAST.
Sadly, this is probably the last we'll see of nada in the gsl forever as I can't see him getting through the qualifiers unless he gets an easy bracket. Pretty soon, he'll be going to the military and be gone.
