I agree! I dunno if the matches are determined ahead of time, but if we are 3-0, we should play the other 3-0 next week

Yeah, the matches are already scheduled round-robin so everyone plays everyone in the regular season.

Is player recruitment for next season permitted, or are the teams going to be admin-assigned again?

all i know is, by next season we will need to replace lots of our guys who will prob p[lace out of CTL....no time like the present!!

had a lot of time to think at work today, couple things came to me abou the state of the wait list, and i wanted to toss them out.
Multiple divisions Since we dont have access to the waiting list, i have no idea how many people are on there, but im guessing there are not enough players to make another division. In the event there are (or will be) enough players, another division would be easy to implement by assigning every team a secondary color to be used in the event they are playing the other division's team of the same color. The number of 2-color combinations should be larger than i ever foresee the CTL becoming.
The two divisions could be handled seperately during normal season, and either the top 2+ teams from each division enter the playoffs, or each division is handled independantly, with a 'world series' game between the two division champions.
On the Bench Another option to deal with the players who want to play in the CTL, that have no room on a team. Assign them to a team, but have them sitting out the season. They can't play in matches, but it would give each team a larger pool of players to practice with. It would increase the community feeling of the players waiting for a chance to be on a team, by making them feel more involved.
If a different team loses a player mid season, they could always be called to another team based on thier spot on the waiting list. This would also make the post-season 'trade period' more interesting, since as players we would know more about the people waiting to be put on a team.
I've got ideas. not saying they are good ideas, or bad ideas. just ideas.

Good ideas Errant. It seems like the demand just isn't there for another division yet (especially given the current situation with bronze players) but I would love to see that too.
I'd also add that it would be great to allow platinum-level matches next season. Quite a lot of the golds are already platinum or will be by the end of the season. If this is contrary to what the admins want, I understand; it just seems like a great way to keep players involved that have increased their skill by being in this league. I'll be in touch with my team after the season regardless, but I'd love to still be able to play for them in some capacity.

Great ideas errant and fire. I think what makes this so strong is the effort put forth by players and admins via ideas and passion.
Edit: autocorrect + phones + TL = tough times posting. lol

We're exploring options with what to do with the back up players, because having them sit around and wait certainly isn't much fun. Right now our primary focus is getting the EU league up and running, but we're still a few players short (Europe, get your shit together). I don't entirely know how far off we are from a second NA division, but, as has been said, the lack of bronze players has been problematic throughout this process. Maybe we'll have some one-off tournaments for these players based around leagues so when draft time rolls around teams will have an idea of who they would like to sign up. I like the on the bench idea, but it seems like it needs some tweaking... Not sure where though.

Want to throw my support behind this idea. More practice players/people on at a given time is a plus.

On the Bench - great idea!
Multiple divisions - if there's a split, then it should be according to when people want to play. eg Friday night league. People can sign up for the time which suits them. This should really help with scheduling.
Rearranging teams - given the amount of league-hopping likely to happen, this will be tricky to balance. GLHF.
Platinums - should be accommodated somehow. Perhaps add 1 extra set each match, or replace bronze with plat.

There are great ideas in here, we're gonna have to discuss them in the following days.
