Mmm his build as he played it right there would get crushed by the mass roach style. In particular I was a bit concerned by the 9:30 third (but I guess it works on Metropolis). I'm interested to see what Hero would do if he scouts that Zerg is going for roach and not muta though.

As much as I love HerO, Curious went for some strange fail semi 3base pressure with a control group of hydras alone (600 gas) donated for nothing, doing a common muta tech switch. Even if HerO didn't scout it, he could metagame it. Single stargate range phoenix with collusi has a good timing against that build because you have money invested in worthless phoenix, late hive tech, and weaker ground too. When HerO went double stargate in GSTL, I actually wrote he might have been aiming for some timing like that, and I also wrote there that I think with range you should only get a single stargate. I'm not a savant or a starcraft god, it just made sense. I'd like to see it tested better against 1) a top zerg (since we consider HerO a top toss and no one considers Curious a top zerg) who b) rushes hive or commits to 3base ground attack to take down 3rd. Infestor-broodlord-corrupter-spine seems to be what most protoss are struggling with at the moment in top korean matches. I won't consider Stephano mass roach at 12 minutes because I haven't seen top GSL korean protoss losing to it, and that's what we're judging.

That kind of wrong. Each interceptor fires 2 shots that do 5 damage each. Normally that is 80 damage in total from interceptors. Corrupters however have 2 armor, so each interceptor shot does only 3 damage which in total adds up to only 48 damage. Phoenixes are in the same boat, they do 5 damage to regular units, 10 to light, but only do 3 damage vs corrupters. Lets not even talk about the slow attack rate of interceptors
Then Corrupters have Corruption 20% more damage on top of their already huge 20 damage to massive.
Curious's problem wasn't the Protoss air, it was the protoss ground force, zealots, sentries, stalkers and colossus.
