Please have some respect for the players, teams, and tournament. Criticism is fine, criticism without anything to back it up isn't so cool. Thanks! |

They don't
Is Wikipedia incorrect then?
it has RuFF and CatZ lined up next to each other and they've already played.

What makes you think that?
Ruff-Catz in Liquipedia doesn't match with MLG's own brackets.

Btw I dont think Polt is in Stephano's loser bracket, look at destiny he was in a bracket with catz and he dropped like 4 brackets down from where catz is now, defintely random and bad luck on catz and ruff

i watched like 1,5 hours of this mlg and in every game the overlay was messed up lol, liquipedia solves fortunately

Polt was never known for his TvZ in the GSL.

What? I'd take Wolf over any of them. Wolf is secretly the second/third best caster out there.

The games really didn't come down to speed, though. Polt wasn't playing his best (not controlling his hellions correctly, etc), but his predictable style was just eaten up. Sheth has probably watched every single Polt vs. Stephano game and countered him. He knew the six hellion/marine-medivac timing was coming and if he could defend that, he could expand and be more aggressive.
Just no variation from Polt. It is still his weakest match-up, but he really should have been able to play better than that. Oh well, Sheth played absolutely the way to beat Polt. If Polt is going to do the same build every game and try to force a late-mid/late game fight on 4+ bases, then just hold his six hellion/marine early pressure and then keep up pushing with lings/banes so he can't comfortably get up a third.
In game one, Sheth knew exactly when the timing was coming and countered with banes, pretty much killing any chance Polt had except if Sheth bungled it hard.
In game two, Polt did the same exact build, killed maybe a few creep, but Sheth already knew it was coming and held. Polt didn't get countered as easily, but Sheth just dropped him, killed more economy and basically gave himself a big lead again.
I said it yesterday - Polt improved his TvStephano at the cost of his TvZ. His builds are tailored for Stephano but when he faces a Zerg who isn't Stephano, his timings are off and he stops having the same kind of success. Sheth punished him for getting late tanks every single game, and he gets late tanks because Stephano doesn't use banelings.
