I think this was a great success for idra.

Set 1: i did not see the games but:
In first game he lost only because of imbalance and outclassed his enemy clearly.
In game nr.2 was a 100% build-order-loose.
----
Set 2: i only saw last game but:
He won first game against the best p on the world (fiest) with an awesome macro and mirco.
in Game nr. 2 fiest abuse the imbalance of pvz so it was unwinable.
In the last game the protoss eco cheated idras 2 base roach push and won only because of gamble.
---
Set 3:
1 game he outplayed the best t in the world (kas) with an powerfull allin ahhm pressur build!
After winning the game he only lost the game because of imbalance of marines and map.
2. game: He lost his scouting overlord because of map imbalance. So he could not win anyways.
But because of his endless skill, he was able to do fine until kas atacked first time.
---
All maps are imbalanced against zerg and protoss is unbeatable.
The other zergs only win on them because they dont know yet.

Also Idra had jetlack and had no bathroom in his hotelroom!
The other players who fly in with the same plain and life in the room next door,
have no idea how hard that is.
---

So even if he did not win a single bo3:
idra proofed again that he is the best sc2 player in the world!

Hopefully that will give the confidence Kas needs to crush the rest of the group (hopefully even Supernova ).

Idra now 4-22 in 2012. 15% win rate.
i was driving down the road this november eve and spotted a hitchhiker walking down the street. i pulled over and saw that it was only a tree. i uprooted it and put it in my trunk. do trees like marshmallow peeps? cause that's all i have and will have.

I actually think that the only way for him to be good again is if he

Idra 1-6.. Idra is either a hopeless case... or he didn't practice as much as he should have.. and thus being a perfect example of giving a player tons of money without any regard to accountability.

Someone needs to put these EG guys in line. Koreans are so good because their houses are run with military-like discipline with inhabitants that adhere to a definite hierarchy.

That thing I just saw does not look like a prepared player.

You know Idra has been in the Slayers house for the past few months right? he was actually playing better when he was living in the EG Lair (He won IEM China and Asus invite). I seriously think Korea is bad for Idra, his mindset turns to shit there.

You are right. He was doing better there. Perhaps because he had a little bit more accountability there, more structure. I sincerely doubt Idra is taking advantage of the training at the SlayerS house. In order to obtain training partners you have to be somewhat sociable. Koreans look at idra like he's the plague.

I am normally not a fan of apollos casting, but he has really been impressing me the last few days. I'm not suggesting he is always correct, or the most knowledgeable caster around, but his rapport with the other casters is really entertaining. Well played apollo, well played.

Well it is possible, Kas TvT is very good. And i still don't think Supernova is so superior.

Did you ever play against Kas? If his gameplan works out he makes a lot of people look like mid master players.

Yeah, I noticed that. When he was peaking last year he made good players look so bad by completely dominating them. I think he was arguably the best European at one point, before Stephano became King boss.

But he's been having some terrible recent games though. Past couple of months have been disasters for him. But you can say that about most foreign Terrans. Thorzain, Kas are two of the top foreign Terrans and they've been getting rolfstomped. Strelok, Select, DDE et all are also falling by the wayside.
