Idra has won his first tournament series of 2012!
GRACK IS BACK.
Not surprising, he's pretty damn good against Korean Terrans.
That's about it, though.
Jaykay, ofc.

Why do people imply that Idra just needs to flip some imaginary button to become an "unstoppable beast" or whatever. I thought it's been made painfully clear that he just isn't at the level of the very top players, and good results like IEM China are the exception, not the rule.

idra proving the haters wrong again, such a good win against one of the best up and coming terrans in the world, overrated? yeah right, the grack just needs to work his vP and he will win everything in 2012

That Nutella must be a very slow release food.

So Mana was ahead after that engagemend and tehn traded 400 mins against 2 dropships with 3 marauders and 10 marines, i think mana came out ahead there, especially considering he killed 24 workers from puma.

He continued to play every game even after it was clear he wasn't making it through the group 4. And he actually won a game in this state! This is definitely an improvement for guy
I could not agree more. Idra can give up sometimes, but I hope he can take something away from his performance and come out stronger next time.

Just to postulate about Idra - it feels like he has a hard time with styles he doesn't see often, and adapting on the fly. His style revolves around cutting corners based on what he thinks will be coming at him, and he's really, really good at predicting it based on the metagame he's used to. He's been living in Korea for a while now, and notice that he beat the Code S korean terran but got his butt kicked by foreigners. The foreign metagame has probably gone in a vastly different direction than the korean one.
Just a thought.

When Idra is playing at 100% he can take games off the current top Koreans. It's a shame he's rarely at that point. Sparks of his genius once in a while, though.

He won because he did something Supernova doesn't see often.

On the next SOTG JP: What did you think of IdrA his performance Geoff? iNcontroL: You know, after the first 4 games, I really thought IdrA would give up. But he didn't and that is important. I think we really saw the new and improved IdrA here. This is the first step towards a new IdrA. I think that IdrA came out stronger after this tournament. Tyler: *smirking in the background*

Pity that Kas is out. Such a solid player

now that idra convincingly beat a ro16 code s terran it's safe to say he qualifies for next season's code s seed
