1) In response to comments that Zerg got drop ability whereas other races did not, we have enabled warp prisms and medivacs, however they do not have their corresponding abilities. Warp prisms cannot deploy and warp in units and do not as a result count as a psi field. Medivacs cannot heal. Otherwise they can be built as normal. This will allow for more interesting games as well as micro opportunities. 2) There is now a reroll feature. Each player may reroll their unit but must accept the second result. This is done on a player by player basis and in the 2 minute warm-up phase before each game teams should discuss whether or not their composition needs changing. 3) This is not so much a change as a clarification. All races have access to their respective detector, but with abilities disabled. This means Ravens and Overseers are fair-game. If a player randoms Raven, he will have access to all of the abilities of said unit.

As for point 2, you could consider dota 2 style unit picks for a future tournament. It wouldn't be random monobattles so don't do it here, but might be an interesting new dynamic.

Since they didn't announce themselves in the thread, the tentative lineups are as follows. Dignitas : BlinG, merz, Bischu, DreAm. Quantic : Flo, Destiny, Agh and TheOgnis EG : DeMusliM, HuK, Machine, and iNcontroL

(Edit: Reason I ask is because I have work during the tournament but get home later and would love to watch them tomorrow night. Anyways, sounds like a super fun tourny!)

I wonder if you could put back in Corruptors, Medivacs, Mothership and Warp Prism now that you have rerolls. I once saw a game with a killer medivac/mothership/mutalisk deathfleet and it was hilarious AND effective. But for a tournament play, it is sensible to err on the side of making things more even. Cheers to TB for breaking free of the 1v1 mold with this crazy fun tournament idea!

Cheers to TB for breaking free of the 1v1 mold with this crazy fun tournament idea! Basically, it's up to them. The maps we now have allow players to enable those units on a player by player basis. If they want to risk it with them, they are more than welcome to try.
