Looking forward to seeing them try. To be honest, it was not some mad real-time splitting: he just set up the split beforehand and engaged in a good concave. Very good, but it does not take korean micro. yeah ... air unit splitting was the first splitting i actually did ... and i had around 60 apm at that time (real minutes not the blizzard ones, still low). Admittedly i did it with mutas + 1 corruptor against thors first, before magic boxing was known lol. (zerg qq against thors and reapers motivated me to switch to zerg for some games got my 5 wins in a row achievment there) The keep the broodlord army at bay with a pf and then engange with your spreaded vikings is basically the easiest thing to do against broodlords. Can't understand how everyone thinks ghost were the only solution, i disliked ghosts because you had to clump them up for snipe. It looks like Lucky right clicked the PF with his BL tho, which is terrible. On amove he would have killed the repairing scv in like 30 seconds, or he could have fungaled them, basically this PF should not have stayed up more than 1 minute. This was really terrible by Lucky TT

Looking forward to seeing them try. To be honest, it was not some mad real-time splitting: he just set up the split beforehand and engaged in a good concave. Very good, but it does not take korean micro. the skill of polt is his timing attacks are insanely efficient.... he takes an unusual route so they're hard to spot, he sends small group to xelnaga to stop zerg scouting, he sends a couple of marines ahead to make sure he wont get spotted by ling/overlord. he also keeps a marine or two lagging behind/scouting for a flanking army that zerg probably has. i think that ling/roach force he found in the final game because he went to the 'useless' xelnaga and just saw it was CLUTCH. he killed those units for free. this meant lucky lost soooo many units during the big push - it made his fast hive fall flat because he didn't have any units to support it except infestor. those small things are so important. most players don't have the apm to do all of that and still have adequate macro. even when he knows his army will not survive, he makes sure to get the best trade he possibly can. he also uses his game sense and skill to deny 3rd for as long as he can, and then keeps the 4th base from zerg. because it's an 'even' match in midgame but once zerg gets >3 bases it becomes steeply zerg favoured (unless the terran is playing mech which is risky as hell and so passive it's not suitable for any aggressive-style player). tldr; polt's style is basically the perfect counter to 15 minute 3-base broodlords.
