One could think Moon is the #1 disappointment in this tournament, but i can't really tell i expected much from him. But even his late game on Metalopolis vs BratOK was really really poor. He still has a long way to go...

Wow, impressive micro by JYP, though I think white-ra could have held if he just kept at the ramp and not pursued.

WhiteRa was head, then the lackluster micro made him lose 3 sentries for free, then got ahead again, and now he'll most likely lose due to outmicroing by a korean once again.

Your statement has no back up proof

Pfff you're ridiculous. All right : I've been looking at his stream all the time while he was in Korea, I even summarize some games he played.

http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=228601&currentpage=110#2198

http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=228601&currentpage=106#2102

And that's just some of the stream sessions i wrote down. There was a lot of others session where he lost quite a lot. I'm still a huge fan of him, but telling "Stephano never lost to any korean protoss beside MC" is BS.

To back up your statements that he loses most of the time vP you link me to you summarizing Stephano's games against Koreans where he went 6W 3L ?

I'm not sure if you're being serious

Dude, stop being an idiot and changing your position around.

He's looking at your statements regarding Sephano never really losing to protoss which is BS.

Check out his replay pack of his games against Korea and check out in particular his games against Squirtle. I don't think he's ever beaten Squirtle who dominated Stephano 4-0 in a manner I haven't seen. I know b/c I really studied those replays as STephano's insane macro style scared me to no ends as a protoss. That's just one example.

If Stephano was as good as people are hyping him up, he should have won every single tournament he entered, including MLG Orlando, DH Winter 2011, Blizzard Cup, HSC4 etc. He is good, no denying, he won IPL 3 which is a big deal since it had a really stacked line-up. However he is not consistent.

The comparison to DRG is almost an insult and slander on DRG's name considering how DRG, tournament after tournament, has kept going deeper and deeper and closer to winning, and now he is in the final of the GSL again.

Respect to Stephano for what he has done, but until he wins more tournaments against great Koreans, you can't even put him on the same pedestal as them.

I hate how you underrate players like Lucky and Curious. Lucky is a very consistent player despite not being very spectacular and curious is like the ace or second ace of startale. He did fairly decent in the previous code S season and what makes you think stephano will do better than curious (who at 1 point 4-0ed Oz).

Worse, you think violet is a better player than either lucky or curious. The last time violet was in code S, he was treated as a free win...

Your hate towards Violet and Stephano makes you blind, and your arguments are easily countered.

"at one point" Stephano happened to 4-0 Lucky.

Funny how you didn't mention it, heh?

Yeah stephano did beat lucky. And i'm not hating on any of them, i'm just affronted that you underrate players like lucky and curious when they have been very consistent.

Violet was never treated as a top player in his team, and he never did show any good results in the GSL unlike curious. Is it unfair for me to comment on that?

Stephano beat lucky and may do better than him in GSL. That is however, not a definite thing and lucky earned his spot by beating lots of players such as Naniwa(millions of times).

Your point still isn't valid.

My point was that being in codeS doesn't mean being better than someone who isn't.

The fact that you got butthurt about Curious/Lucky comment, whatever turned you into aggressive mode, doesn't mean that they can be claimed to be stronger than Stephano (and vice-versa) JUST because they hold codeS status.

Lol don't make me seem aggressive when i'm not.

And yes, you have a valid point about code S not being definite. However, i just do not like the fact that you think players like violet are better than curious/lucky or that stephano is superior to curious when there is no substantial evidence for you to think that other than hype and close connection to the foreign scene.

Wasn't really lackluster micro, just a bad decision to move down the ramp without Immortal

He doesn't care.

Key point being Stephano was offered the spot, he didn't qualify for Code A, then get through Code A/Up And Downs.

He didn't even win a tournament to get seeded for Code S.

Would like to see some P canon rush Stephano. Really, no one's tried it. If it can win you one game...

Appart from that, imo the best build again Stephano would be the 7-gates timing off 2 bases with perfect micro (MC ^^)

Name me one player that wins everything in SC2? Stephano is legit as fuck and deserves the hype. DRG also loses quite a few tournaments he enters so I don't get what point you are trying to make.

Whether you think Stephano would beat Koreans or not, you have to be impressed by him going 27 - 0 in vP. That surely means he's got a decent chance against any Korean toss he plays against.

Code S is exactly where the gods of this game are. Make no mistake. The GSL is where you go to prove yourself as the best of the best.

But I do understand your point that there are more foreigner tournaments than Korean ones, which is why it is fortunate that there are companies like MLG who help pay for players and teams to travel to outside tournaments.
