Startale heavily favored. Zenex just has not been the same since they lost Byun, Taeja, Coca and Puzzle. I hope the God of War himself makes an appearance.
I'm pretty sure that Startale will win, although since I voted for them in the poll I think that means the universe will now reorder itself to make sure they lose.

Where's the excitement for our first all-Korean showdown? These games should be quite amazing, as both teams have their share of GSL-experienced players!
Zenex gonna get rolled. Sad, but true. I voted for StarTale because the poll asked who I thought would win, but I'll cheer for the underdog at 7:00 PM Central. Go Zenex!
ZENEX about to get all killed by SUPERSTAR. He's going to have to get a new cape after these games, because nothing in the world will clean it after he wipes all of the ZENEX nerd blood off of his hands with it.

SUPERSTAR is no longer playing for StarTale, he went to do his military service.

ZeNEX.Plosion = ExplosionNL = ZeNEX.Avenge. Formerly of MVP. The guy who got NUKED by Boxer in Code A where Moletrap went crazy. He qualified for Code A this season and will be playing Idra in the RO48.

kinda risky to take that 3rd so early though :O that's why this is a tight spot, right?
A bit of that, a bit of classic July smelling blood and committing entirely into killing him, a mistake to be honest, now he's held july is pretty much dead. Equal bases/upgrades, no hive etc.

Its an interesting counter. It completely negates the roach portion of it and then depends on good micro to be cost effective stalker vs hyrda. I like it.

It worked alright for him in BW to be fair
no FF in bw lollllllllllllllllllllll
True, but this style is what makes July into the boss he is to be fair, just when it doesnt work it fails badly
It worked well in early Sc2 as well but the game is just way too figured out now and July's style just doesn't work.
July is done, pitty, was a zerg pillar with his agressive style when most of zerg strugles, but now it seems he just dont get it how game is developing, like you said, he's still in BW

Judging him off of a PvP and a PvJuly?
I'm noticing the little things.
You can't say whether he can beat a Z player without watching him play a standard game vs a Z, that's just stupid.
No. He could be absolutely horrible at PvZ (his record certainly isn't impressive). Then again Idra is terrible at ZvP himself. And if Zenio can win ZvPs in Europe then Avenge can certainly win PvZs against foreigners.

IdrA isn't July, he'll actually take bases. You're not going to beat IdrA getting hallucinate instead of warpgate.
You've not seen Idra in ZvP?
It may be his weaker matchup, but IdrA wouldn't lose 10 mutas to 5 phoenix, he wouldn't stay on 3 base, he wouldn't relentlessly throw away units. He's bad at ZvP, he's not a moron.

I've seen Idra derp pretty hard in ZvP on more than one occasion.
Is throwing away your units any worse than maxing on lair tech and sitting in your base doing nothing?
Life is so bad. The decision to hide his lings was stupid and pointless. If he had brought out all his lings the moment he got speed, he could've run up the ramp and contained protoss to one base for at least 2 more minutes. Now he doesn't have the economy to keep up and his early speedlings are useless. ARGH this is the most frustrating play I've seen since...ever

Parting is seriously sick at this game, can see him going far in Code S this season/year.
Yeah him and Genius look fucking ridiculous right now. I'd love to see one of them win this seasons GSL.
Genius' mechanics have always been top notch, just his style got outdated, now he seems to be catching up the "metagame", he looks like a beast again. Good to see some Protoss talent emerging recently.

It is very powerful indeed. But I wonder how effective it would be if it were scouted and how long the Protoss is vulnerable to an early push.
On January 28 2012 11:55 IMoperator wrote: Only protoss can do that kinda build
You're right. I for one have never seen a Terran go double OC after a 1 rax fe or reactor helion opening.
Yea and I've never seen a Zerg go for three bases with no gas and only 100 minerals worth of attacking units! Something like that is surely insane and would never work.........
On January 28 2012 11:56 DropTester wrote: wow that quick 3 base build is really good
I personally think its only really good because right now no Terran ever scouts for it. If Terran scouts the third nexus going down it should be easy to kill with a bunker rush or any early pressure before the rest of gates finish. This is of course just theory, would love to see if Parting can use that build and hold off an early pressure build by a Terran player.
