I feel sad...
It's not about NightEnd... It's just because lag seems that decided that game... Same with the Nani and Grubby complains... anyway...

The last game was affected a lot by that lags, but i think Nightend deserved that, he was just camping in base for so long...

Yes, worst tournament I've seen in a very long time because of all these issues. Real shame.

Yeah. This is really making me realize how good homestory cup was. I was 100% entertained.

I just realized I used to enjoy watching sc2 when every game was like this. Remember games that caused a lot of drama like kiwikaki vs idra on old shakuras? how would that look now?

Sad times, feel bad for Zenio for being stuck in the middle, but even worse for Nightend for losing the decisive game like that. I can't believe how bad the lag has been.

The only thing good about these computers is that europeans might get to see some from group C after work xD

Nighend would've won the engagement desicively if it didn't start lagging right after his blink, I think we all can see that. Even just a shift-click on the BLs would have been enough.

Nightend is out, he loses. Zenio doesn't deserve to advance, he loses.
Battlenet 2.0, wins.

I think the problem is with their computers. It only lags when big fights occurs.

So, pro tip to everyone at the tournament: end the games quickly :p

Not to be overly harsh, but IEM is setting the bar impressively low to kickstart 2012.

Nightend played so GOOD and still lost. I'm not sure if the lag spike in this battle decided the game. But it would have given him some edge and the game would have been much closer.

Too many variables to consider to justify making a regame. Yes he blinked under the broods, yes he was targetting some of them, but who's to say he wouldn't have botched his control and misclicked? Or Zenio loses his army but claws his way back in? It's a pity for Nightend, but it would be unfair on Zenio as well

On another point, why do Koreans play so much worse at IEMs than almost every other tournament out there? Zenio is playing half as good as he was in Code S (which still wasn't his best), JYP did pretty badly at the Changzhou [sic] tournament etc

A lot of it may be the Homestorycup after-effects but yeah, this tournament leaves a sour taste.

LAN!

Actually I'm pretty sure it's the computers that make the game lag, always starts when a big battle happens.

I agree with this . Looks alot like i was playing on my old machine or the Korean WCG Quali in the first rounds. The game works well untill there's a big battle then it just gets a huge clusterfuck where you can just cross your fingers and hope for the best.

you know what they say.... dont want to set the bar too high cause then you'll never live up to it. keep it this low at the start and the only way to go is up :D

also 1 year ago lag was blamed on blizzard, but apparently now it's the tournament's fault.

I think night end has been screwed over at tournaments more than any other player in the history of starcraft 2. I don't have data to back that claim up, but it certainly feels that way.

I think it was pretty clear for anyone who plays starcraft at a decent level that the engagement did not go the way it should have for professional grade players. Combine that with the frozen screen and lag pauses and it becomes pretty obvious what happened. Lag completely changed the course of the game.

Seems like the computers since it only happens during big fights, but it's hard to imagine how bad your planning has to be in order to get computers that can't handle lowest graphics SC2.
