It denigrates esports by having a drunk party atmosphere in a tournament, how can we expect others (the outside world) to take esports seriously, when the pro gamers themselves aren't taking it seriously. I talk to my parents and other people about esports and sc2, they are always intrigued about how massive the scene is.. now imagine someone like myself got their parents to watch today, how embarrassing would it be? I know most of you don't give a shit about this sort of stuff, but the last 20-30mins was really painful for me to watch. Like I said before, the relaxed feel of the tournament is awesome, but when the hosts are getting drunk they need to be replaced until they become sober. Also what do sponsors think when they see their shirt on a guy wasted out of his mind that he doesn't even know what hes talking about? Growth of esports my ass. Please, everyone at the tournament is joking around, even the sober people, and even the koreans. Homestory cup has always been very different from other tournaments, and they don't try to act as professional as possible (well, not your kind of professional at least). They always tell tons of party/drinking stories, and it has always been partying involved. I can't see why you would be embarrased showing this to your parents, especially in this context. But if you get embarassed this might not be the tournament you should show them, and it is up to you (And you call that wasted out of your mind? Get out and see some really drunk people so you can tell the difference please). And to be honest you sound like some conservative old lady that can't handle seeing half naked people on TV.

I split my bets around 50 for marineking to win 50 to jyp 50 to mc and 50 to sound : ]

Dimaga for now won with: Attero, Adelscott, Darkforce and Grubby lost with Sound and Real who looks better? even MC said Nerchio is strong.

Do no worry, there will be plenty of tournaments to come where he will own some nerds.

This has nothing to do weither Nerchio or DIMAGA is better. I believe Nerchio is better than DIMAGA; but MC beat Top 3 Zergs like Leenock, so Nerchio obviously wont beat him.

Drunken people are annoying when you're not drunk yourself ofc, but I think they showed their frustration a bit too much and should've just played along with it. Instead of letting it continue Take should've just said something like: "Alright guys as you can see Rotti needs to go to bed, so with that we thank you for watching, and tune in again at 3PM tomorrow for the quarterfinals." (Not necessarily exactly that but something in that manner ;P) i can only partially agree with you. Bitter and Take should have handled it slightly different your right. But i think Rotterdam etc definately should have handled it differently. I mean a person like Rotti should know when hes drank too much (he look like so who does this more often.. ;] ). When ur as drunk, than u cant spreak fluently anymore, you should not "ruin" a cast of a tournament. I mean, sure he can come, do some fun things, but hey.. then u should realize that Take is responsible for this tourney, and just simply leave the scene (with a fun move, when he wants..). It's nothing fatal at all, but theres just a tiny line between fun/relaxing and awkward. Just let Take end the show, then the guys can get wasted as much as they want, nobody got a problem with that. Just my opinion. Edit: This incidence was nothing. I just dont want the next Homestory cup to become a drinking party. When i want drinking parties, i go get drunk myself. Here i only wanna see SC2 in a relaxing athmosphere

Well if i would go to a football match with my parents, i would not buy a ticket for the area of the stadium where the hardcore fans are, where the beer is flowing and u can even get a beer shower when a goal is scored. I would go to the area where the families are sitting. And here is the same: Just don't show it ur parents. I just don't like this attitude of people like u who want to tell me and other people what good or bad esports is. Everyone has another perspective and there is not the "right way" for promoting esports.

Thats why needforseat even contacted (!) take themself for sponsoring after the huge advertisement of HSC3. Thats why Pokerstrategy.com wanted to help TaKe after the huge success of the poker tour for winning a travel to HSC3. And so on. Because of the bad advertisement and everyone thinks poorly about the sponsors. Ok, lets be honest. Everyone thinks every single one of the sponsors is awesome just because they make this awesome event possible. Hands down. Absolutely right. the sponsors make this whole event even possible. This, by comparison, tiny tournament attracts ~50k viewers, beating the IEM for example. HSC3 and even HSC4 are already regarded as the best tournament of the year(by some people), all because of the relaxed atmosphere etc. and it's all possible because of the sponsors. why would a sponsor be unhappy about it? the numbers grow and the reception is pretty good if not the best of all tournaments. oh yeah, some drunken people occasionally say some stupid stuff, that's to be expected... It's still more entertaining than Day[9]'s stupid screaming, shouting and grunting whenever a baneling moves towards a ball of marines... and when it hits we get a really stretched out "wwwwwwooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooowwwwwwwwwwwww" from djwheat, and then day9 proclaims that this move was the best move of the whole tournament. happens all the frikkin time, I dont need this fake entertainment. i would rather have some drunken experts that actually play this game or some koreans that cant even form a single correct english sentence yet are still frikkin entertaining in their own way..at least ONCE a year. It is where hard-trained cyber-athletes clash to prove their outstanding gaming skills. You must remember this: esports is serious stuff now. By no means it should be anymore associated with terms such as "fun" or "having a good time". Apparently Take does a horrible job with th HSC IV, reminding people that playing and watching Starcraft can be so much fun! It's like he's killing esports 50k viewers at a time. I think that HSC IV has too be stopped, someone should make an online petition for it or something. STOP HURTING ESPORTS! STARCRAFT IS SERIOUS!
