MVP trapped as he tries to back out! Brilliant game from both, but too much from MMA! MVP is great with his decision making, but he made the mistake of losing his tanks.

I like the variety of strategies in TvT. As a game, I definitely preferred MVP v Polt Mech v Bio yesterday but this marine/tank v marine/tank was pretty fun

Marine tank is probably the most exciting from a spectator's point of view. If you disagree it's probably because you've just seen it too much, but for massive damage and tight control, marine tank is good to watch =D

People seem not hate high level TvT no matter what.
Mech vs Mech or marine tank vs marine tank. Those are the only two builds ever mentioned as the strongest options as well.
Playing that can be quite fun though, I used to love Mech vs Mech into an air battle.
Melting workers with blue flame was pretty damn fun too.

If I go over all the games where players had comparable skill on all versions of the map it would take too much time to make a very simple point: The maps had nothing to do with the outcome of the series. Crossfire and dual sight are maps known to be good for zerg. Yet MC took dual sight. Shakuras and calm before the storm are good maps for protoss. Yet DRG took Calm before the storm(don't give a shit about mc going for carriers, if he did that do show off it's his own damn fault he lost). Antiga shipyard is a close to balanced map on ZvP.

Calm before the storm is a bad map for protoss? It's 3-7 since there's no other versions of calm before the storm.
Shakuras plateau when you add the stats for both versions is 17-24 in favour of protoss.

I took the stats from TLPD korea since I consider that the metagame differences make their stats more accurate. Anyway, do you believe that mc lost because of the maps?

Nah, he lost because of the sentries forcing his hand to all in. Clever play be DRG, the correct response by MC, the even more correct response by DRG after the damage.

I just get very annoyed when anyone mentions map balance. The fact is that we don't have the data to declare any map to be imbalanced, because there isn't sufficient data to say so. Only the maps that have been played a lot on, and haven't been changed too much (Shakuras, TDA, Metal/Shattered to a point) can we have even a small discussion about balance.

Then my point came across. I don't think any map right now is bad enough to be unplayable for one race. Kinda like how DRG took calm even though I see it as a good map for protoss because it's easy to get on 3 bases(despite the low number of games that happened there), and how mc took dual sight even though it's considered a good map for zerg because it's hard to get a 3rd base there.

That I most definitely agree with. Also, GomPlayer needs to fuck off because it keeps closing....

I have the same thing with GomPlayer. Try speeding the stream up to the max (with c), and then put it on 0.9 for a couple of secs (with x). Solves it for me every time.

MVP is clearly a bit weak when it comes to having your opponents just go for the base trade.

Clever play from MMA, gg. Sad to see 0-0 BCs so useless against 3-3 Marines, though. Capital ships should not be so affected by armor value.
