He should be respected for how much he's improved, and players who were much better than him in sc1 were passed up mechanically, strategically, and in every other aspect. on that day in season 1 artosis called nestea terrible. true story.

That they can play "perfectly" yet be considered atrocious players in the scene thats about to bring a huge influx of players in...heh... The thinly-veiled BW > sc2 comment. It's been bubbling on the surface the last few pages. Just say it. User was warned for this post

Again, ppl see TL and EG as like rivals PuMa is hated for the 1/1/1. He's been deemed a "cheesy player" :/ as much as I hate it yeah..... too much hate on PuMa People who watch GSL for the most part don't have that crazy terran hatred either, because for many seasons Terrans was the only thing you saw at the GSL.

At the time of switching Boxer, July, and Nada were all washed up. Only MVP and ForGG were in-shape players when they switched. The comparison isn't even close. And to all the haters saying Sage, Polt, and July all played bad... players look bad when they are outclassed. ForGG looks terrible getting destroyed by Bisu and Flash. If anything these games give me fresh new hope in the SC2 engine, if you think ForGG looks good now let's wait 12 months and watch Effort and Sea.

None of that crap would've worked against a better zerg player than July. Also to me it looks like he's a bit afraid of long macro game against zerg, something that Mvp for example excels at. Idk about the macro as we really cant say yet. From what I know of forGG (I didn't follow BW), they all say how he was all about timing attacks, and it seems like thats what his builds were geared too. But he is just being way overhyped right now imo. His control was really good, but better than MVP, MMA, MKP? No. And the reaper/hellion build, we just saw Puma do it in NASL, I believe its a SlayerS build. I think he will do well in Code S though, he does have really good control and his timings seem crisp. Another thing we have to think about right now is the surprise factor of forGG. No one knows his style in sc2 really. I can see him winning a Code S title in the future, but not ready to say he will next season (like Artosis)

Just a thought for discussion? omg this argument comes up all the time. boxer was good during a time when sc1 wasn't as figured out and when the level of play was much lower than today's. when we say people are excited about bw pros switching over, we're talking about the bw pros who are at the top of their game during the eras when the level of play had risen to a high enough level...around 2007/2008 +
