There were a lot of factors:

He played against Liquid`HerO. As a TL community, there were SO MANY Liquid fans
PuMa is in EG. Again, ppl see TL and EG as like rivals
PuMa is hated for the 1/1/1. He's been deemed a "cheesy player"

A voice of reason at last! Excellent play by forGG, but 2-rax bunker rush into hellion isn't exactly ground-breaking territory. Sure the marine control was good, but not better than some of the other high-level sc2 players we've all seen. REALLY looking forward to more games from forGG though.

But they still were bw pros in a proteam, which makes them better than....everyone in the world. So calling them bad is very relative.

To be fair, nestea WAS bad when he switched over and started playing starcraft 2 in season 1, but then he raised his skill level by a lot in season 2. He should be respected for how much he's improved, and players who were much better than him in sc1 were passed up mechanically, strategically, and in every other aspect.

I am impressed with his play, but I'm sad that now almost every popular thread in TL is becoming some kind of SC2/BW discussion.

I think froGG style is pretty neat. You do timing pressure and keep doing it. As long as you do damage you're ahead slightly every fight. Which in the end will give you a big lead.
Sc2 should design with that in mind instead of massing 200 armies and attack.

MVP was roughly on the same level as fOrGG and Nestea was a 2v2 player and a practise partner...

I know that even though I'm a sc2 nub, so what does that make you? ^_^

boxer is 30 (31?)

Forgg is 21, and he was still owning up BW from 2008-2010*, where as boxer has been in decline for many years.
All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us.

Boxer's peak time in BW (when he was a bonjwa) was a very very long time ago. ForGG's peak time in BW was like 2 years ago. That's why.

Boxer, Nada and July were all sub-par compared to the majority of professional BW players when they made the switch to SC2.
