Same drill as usual: - No caster bashing.
- Excessive tournament bashing that detracts from game discussion will be met with moderator action. Criticism is welcome, whining is not.
- In general do your best to stay on topic and discuss what we're all here for: the games.
Enjoy the games guys. |

Alexander --> Alex Daniel --> Dan Jonathan --> Jon or John
Stuff like this makes sense to me. Though, admittedly, I've never understood Robert --> Bob.
The Vladimir shortening is bemusing, and I've never understood how Nikolai --> Kolya. I think it's an issue with transliteration, or in other words, alternate ways of spelling the same anglicized name. So for example, Dmytro can also be spelled as Dimitro, and thus, Dima for short. I don't think it's a transliteration issue. I can read Cyrillic, and it still makes no sense to me. =/ I feel like I should find some Slavic linguist and ask if there's a general rule for Russian nicknames.
There are no rules whatsoever for russian nicknames, they can be a complete brainfuck.

i know they charge for it, but barely anybody pays compared to the cost it takes to run this thing, so its basically a charity event.
and about the video quality, the gsl's own is worst at free quality.

Oh, this is in CA? Wtf, it's 5:30 there on a Friday.
|
2 Port banshee and 20 pages of rage incoming?
|
Is it me or are there just not that many commercials? I feel like someone working at NASL forgot to run some commercials at least, or perhaps I am ignorant to the manner or timing in which they present the commercials.

Anyone know of a more efficient way of following this thread? All I ever do is goto "last" page and keep hitting refresh like a monkey. Almost 2012 is that still the best way?

Man, the problem is DIMAGA knows Brat_OK very well cause they've been friends and teammates ever since broodwar days hence he cuts corners too much against him w/o any justification which u could see in prev games. This things are nessecary to keep him alerted all the time.

It was really difficult reading Russian novels where the author would just switch between the characters' nicknames and actual names and they looked nothing alike. I have a hard enough time keeping track of characters, much less characters referred to with two names at a time.

DIMAGA scouts it but the spores are so late, his 3rd hatch will help tho for queens
