STARCRAFT II 1v1 Tournament
RUaGamer Event
Where: RUaGamer, 218 Nottingham Drive, Cary, NC 27511
When: November 13th, 2011 9:00AM EST
Starts: Registration starts at 9AM and ends at 10AM (no late entries will be accepted), event could last a long time, be prepared, arrive early if possible.
Entry Fee: $15 ($5 of this price goes to cover venue costs, $10 towards the prize pool, $320 total prize pool if full turnout)
Format: 1v1 Double Elimination
Slots: 32 Player maximum (due to this tournament being a single day event).
PRIZES: - 1st place: 60% of prize pool
- 2nd place: 30% of prize pool
- 3rd place: 10% of prize pool
RULES:
- You must have your own Battle.net Account, during gameplay you must be set as busy to minimize in-game external communication
- Best of 3 standard rounds, Best of 5 Finals
- Current cycle MLG maps will be used: 1st map will be chosen by staff, second map is chosen by the loser of the first map; should there be a third map it will be chosen by the loser of the 2nd game.
- All races, including random, are allowed
- All skills and Leagues allowed participation
- You can bring your own keyboard, mouse, and headset as long as it is USB (or 3.5mm jacks on headsets), no PS/2 equipment. There will be keyboards and mice available at each station, along with headsets.
- Bring a good attitude and have positive conduct. If attitudes start to become too excessive you may be asked to leave the tournament with no refund.
- Spectating is allowed and there will be two matches streaming Live on screens at the event.
- No communication or coaching from other players is allowed during a live match
- Follow these simple rules and we’ll all have a great time and some of you will walk out with some cash :D

You may want to post this in the community forum as well as linking to this thread. Lots of players post LANS there. I know of a lot of players in the community that are in the areas, well over 100. So I am sure we can get some good numbers again like the first LAN. Its just a matter of getting people interested and having a good time.
Also BarCrafts are held in Ashville, Should pop your name on the list if your interested in getting more of a NC E-Sports community together!

I've spread the word in my area. If I remember correctly UNC and ECU have a very high player count in starcraft. Hopefully the universities have heard about the tournament.
Also how many computers do you have at RUAGAMER? I have an online tournament that I would like to partcipate in if I am not doing any group sets or playing. More LAN Experience is nice. ^^

Might not be able to get over there till about 10:15 or so. Still worth coming? I have to take care of some things early. Let me know if I can still get a slot if I'm there a bit after 10. Don't want to waste a trip if it is a hard registration deadline.

Yeah FLuE, since you let it be known here ahead of time, I can admit you late into the tournament, however, if you arrive after the first round of the tournament is past, then I will not be able to admit you. Being there at 10:15, you should still be able to enter the tournament with no issue.
NOTICE: Above is one of the only circumstances that this will be allowed. Showing up after the first round, or showing up after the 10a.m. deadline without any notice and provision by me will not be acceptable and you won't be granted entry to the tournament.

Yeah, I live in Cary and am free most weekends and Tuesdays. I mainly want to play, but i'd be cool with going over replays/VODs too.

Unfortunately no. Everyone I play sc2 with doesn't live nearby.
