Watch how you approach the topic of match fixing. You can speculate, saying "I'm not so sure about the finals, something doesn't sit right with me," but if you are going to outright accuse players of match fixing you need something more than your word.

TL takes match fixing/abuse seriously and as such there is a burden a proof when you are accusing players.

I guess you missed the Winner's Bracket Finals...

Nestea can easily defeat MVP, but the fact is, that has nothing to do with whether or not there was match fixing.

he has gotten dominated in their career matchups as a whole and admits mvp is the better player and wins more often in practice. and whether or not they decided to split the pool does not mean they were not trying to win the tournament as clearly seen by the timing attacks that were used in nearly ever game. nestea blundered the late game hard and thats all there is to it.

YOU ARE WATCHING THE GAME FROM AN OBSERVER POINT OF VIEW. YOU CAN SEE EVERYTHING. CAN THEY SEE EVERYTHING?!

Yeah, someone who was there watching NesTea's ingame view said that he absolutely didn't throw the game. The 20+ broodlords were apparently made out of sheer desperation, and he didn't really know MVP's army composition. Such is life.

How does one explain him letting his mineral lines be nuked twice? Or not microing his doom drop at all? Or saccing all those overlords / letting overlords just hang out in the base and get slaughtered while he was already supply blocked? Why was he so slow to rebuild any of his supply?

And yes, NesTea did know MVPs unit composition. He knew MVP had a ton of ghosts. He saw them with his own eyes during the doom drop. Common sense tells you that MVP will only be making more ghosts as the game goes on, because that's what he does in all his late game TvZs. But he made all those brood lords anyway.

Like I said, I'm not accusing NesTea of just outright trying to throw the game. If he was really trying to throw the game, it wouldn't have gone as late as it did. But I do think it's fair to say that NesTea's play was very un-NesTea like. He didn't look like his usual self.

It's fair to speculate about if NesTea was more concerned with giving the crowd an entertaining game rather than trying as hard as possible to crush his teammate. He played VERY cutesy.

nestea has never been known for amazing control and clearly was not comfortable in that late game scenario. he also has never been known for his multitasking and was unable to deal with the crazy sick harass of mvp. nestea isnt even universally considered the best zvt in the world, i dont understand why its so hard for his fans to accept that he botched a super late game tvz scenario that he likely hasnt seen very often

He's a three time GSL champion. I find it extremely hard to believe that he "isn't known for mzing control or multitaksing." Says who? How is he a three time champ without being amazing at those aspects of the game? I don't buy it.

The thing that I can't get over is that he simply let his mineral lines saturated with drones get nuked twice. Even one mineral line being nuked is a major mistake. It happened twice in this game. That's absolutely inexcusable. I just find it hard to believe that a three time GSL champion could make a critical, easy to avoid error like that not once but twice.

Honestly, I don't think the match was fixed. Even players of Nestea's caliber falter after a grueling tournament in a completely different time zone. Besides, there really isn't much motive...

The most generic alt rock band of the era. Yay? :/

Enjoyed the games very much today and, despite being a huge Nestea geek, MVP deserved it. Some of those timings were outright terrifying. Looking forward to playing against masters players trying an unrefined version of it tomorrow.

The more I think about it the more that series leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Nestea's decision making, which is his greatest strength just seemed to be completely off.

1. He used ling + infester in the winners bracket finals and completely destroyed MVP with it. He never used that build again in the next 7 games.
2. All-inning twice on Shattered Temple? The first one was a good choice considering close positions, but the second one made no sense. Positions weren't close and MVP would not make the same mistake twice.
3. The final game was the worst. He saw heaps of ghosts but didn't prepare for nukes. He floated resources when he could've been trading armies (inneficently of course, but he had the better economy / bank). The doom drop was horrible. He was putting Nydus's right infront of MVPs eyes. Then finally building soo many Brood Lords with two corrupters for anti-air? I see some people saying maybe Nestea actually can't beat MVP in a long game, in that case WHY PLAY A LONG GAME? That does not make sense.

I really feel that MVP and Nestea must've had something planned. There's no proof for such a claim, but the last ~20 minutes of that final game just don't sit well with me.

seemed like they were just there to be spectators

guess Blizzard is just trying to sow the seeds for them to potentially accept and move on to SC2 if BW somehow dies in Korea.

the reception to SC2 outside Korea compared to within Korea is very different and their attendance to BlizzCon might help in changing that their perception of SC2.

NesTea is only known for his deep understanding of the game + his macro. Being that ahead of the curve a few months back won him those titles.
