Watch how you approach the topic of match fixing. You can speculate, saying "I'm not so sure about the finals, something doesn't sit right with me," but if you are going to outright accuse players of match fixing you need something more than your word.

TL takes match fixing/abuse seriously and as such there is a burden a proof when you are accusing players.

So why did bisu and fantasy and whoever else end up being invited? Did they play some exhibition bw matches or sc2 matches ? I havent seen anything about them other than the fact they were attending.
I suspect it was just a VIP invite. They sneaked into the GSL finals with a small entourage about a minute after Mvp and MMA did their entrance and it took most people nearby quite a while to realize they'd even gone by (I only barely noticed their team jackets while cheering). I didn't see or hear anything of them for the rest of the event, and my friends and I were hanging out on the RTS stage for almost the entire convention.

Jaedong snuck out after game 3 of the series. I saw him walk off with his shorter compatriot and I gleefully whispered omg jaedonggggg and he smiled at me as he ran off.

Bisu and fantasy left after game 4 and I managed to chase after them. One guy got a picture with them before me and their female manager of sorts ushered them away before I got my photo so I ran ahead of them and held up my hand instead and fantasy and bisu smiled and high fived me. I was so fucking insanely happy. People later asked me as I sat back down who they were and I told them and most had no fucking clue. Sad but whatever. I got my fill.

Did anyone even see jangbi this weekend?

That's sick :D

It was not some huge conspiracy or scandal.

But it is out of most respect to Nestea that I say that at some point he threw the last game.

I refuse to believe that the best zerg player in the world can't move his drones from his 3(?) mining bases to defend against nukes at multiple times, having 14k in the bank and yet get supply capped by sacking all his overlords and waste all his banelings on nothing.

It could be a bet like "mvp, if you manage take it to the last game, lets put up a show!"
or he wanted to make statement on balance like the twitter suggest.
They can have other priorities like "I value our friendship higher than money, if we both get to the finals lets treat our fans with great games and split the money so there is no ill feelings."

Or he was just tired.
Or it is simply a huge conspiracy.

Anything is more likely than Nestea building 24 broodlords and move out with no support nor detection against ghosts and vikings and is expecting to win. Then later come out smiling like a boss at the award ceremony.

I don't care either way and it should not important. All games at Blizzcon rocked cake. Epic finals... except the last game. That's what I have an issue with, what ever you think happened at least agree that it was a bad game. ^___^;

My 2 cents.

Please have tolerance for bad grammar.

Not moving his drones under nuke / left huge amount of bank without doing anything / morph 30 corruptors to broodlord in one time without any air/ground support ... Yes, it's 99% like a show match other than final.

Had multiple nukes to worry about while also trying to manage a gigantic drop. The nuke was also placed in a location that makes it hard to see exactly where the red dot is, not to mention that it can sometimes be hard enough to find one red dot nevermind multiple ones. It was also the point in the game where he may have just wanted to throw away those drones to get a larger army supply with that many minerals banked.

He should probably have been more aggressive when he had 14,000 minerals, but at the same time Mvp's front was set up so well that he couldn't break it in a way that would allow even 14,000 minerals backed up to resupply him quickly enough - especially since Mvp kept killing hatcheries and so he was probably low on larva.

Watch the game again and it will become very apparent that the 30 brood lords was desperation.

I was there and it's hard to say that Nestea didn't make mistakes. I watched the majority of the game from his FPV and I saw nothing to indicate that he was throwing the game and all the mistakes were understandable from watching his FPV (such as missing the nukes). It's not completely ridiculous to think there's some chance there was a prize split agreement (given that they're teammates) between the players and less was on the line than the 25k prize diff. But to say it's 99% a showmatch is an extreme exaggeration for someone who likely just watched it online.

It seemed like Nestea just said "fuck it" at the end of a tiring game where MVP seemed un-killable, after a tiring tournament, and after tiring trip across the world. I'm not sure what he was supposed to do against so many ghosts but it looked like he just gave up hoping so many broodlords could kill everything faster than they could get sniped.

He didn't throw the game.

The idea that Nestea threw the game is beyond crazy. He tried just about everything he could to break MVP; muta harass everywhere, nydus worms, making 100+ banelings, doom drops, ultras, broodlords, etc. He did everything aside from going hydra/roach, which isn't viable, in the end he decided to just make as many broods as he could and go for one last attack because he knew MVP was just getting more and more ahead the longer the game went. Terran can sac pretty much every mineral mining scv in favor of mules and go down to 18-24 scv for gas while still having more than enough income, and making their army 50% larger than zerg's army; you can put planetary's at chokes, etc. There is absolutely nothing Nestea, or any zerg for that matter, could have done once a terran player has half the map with that many ghosts. Ultras and broods get sniped, infestors get emp'd , zerglings and banelings die to tanks and planetaries; what else is left?
