Tastosis said that TOP was outmacroed, which is not true, they made the exact same build and TOP was ahead on every single timings by at least 20 seconds. Then he was 13 scv ahead in early-mid game. That's just a small part of macro and you didn't include him controlling his entire army during the game using abilities. Sorry but dropping multiple nukes and thor while spamming pdd isn't related to micro. xD

Mvp dropping the main with thors then blanket nukes, pdd to cover his escape, was one of the smoothest moves I've seen in SC2 to date. Not only that, but then after getting top out of position, move in with siege tanks AND THEN NUKING THE WAY BACK FOR TOP! That was amazing and well thought out... The sad truth is that the first game of a series is nearly always the best ![]()

Mvp knew it was going to be a split-map situation so he didn't oversature his bases at all and used that money to make more hellion & kill scv (then if you remake it will be "wasted" ressource + lost ressources which is important in split map tvt). My thoughts, Mvp can constantly produce scv if he wants to lol. He just didn't want to ![]()

But here it was just a leisurely max out on air units till the final engagement. MVP was floating >1000 min, 1000 gas during the midgame, but there's no consequence. Both players float so much money at the end that there's basically no penalty for sloppy macro. There's no pressure, no tension, no sense of danger. It was novel to see giant air armies in Boxer vs. Rain but it just has an endless, actionless buildup during which the players essentially ignore each other until the final battle when it's all ever. We saw a different game. Even if you have floating money, one bad engagement ruins your game, as TvT is a very positional matchup, therefore it's not easy to reinforce once you lose key points. TOP left with enough resources to max again, however he couldn't. That's knife's edge, where you know if you do 1 mistake you are done. Not even that, but a good move from your opponent grants you a lose, because I cannot see where he did something wrong, just a bold move from MVP.

Its 3 in a year not 3 in a row (also to be considered just a league above every1 else where when they go into a game you dont even doubt the result) . Honestly though between Nestea and MvP if one of them can distance themselves from the other than maybe.

I prefer that to a 30 minute long build-up for 2-3 meaningful engagements, no matter which fanciful tech is involved. I agree, I mean the ending was amazing, nobody can deny that, but how they got there was quite boring. I don't think anyone can deny that either.
