I wouldn't count out Ryung if he can get past July. I watch loaaaaaaaads of TvT's, and the way he's been playing it lately has looked nothing short of amazing. Mvp vs Ryung would be an epic series.

He pretty much played it straight up macro (he's one of the best at it) the rest of the games, as evidenced by consistently being +50 food above Genius. Also, regarding your ghost timing. He didn't actually commit any time with the fast ghosts he built. He scanned, saw that it wasn't favorable, and just took a 3rd/4th and macro'd. So I really don't see anything blatantly op in Terran vs Protoss here. It wasn't the race, it was the player. The thing is Genius has to get a 2nd gas and scout to make sure a 1/1/1 isn't coming so he has to play from behind. The 1/1/1 isn't just very strong but it also lets Terran get ahead in games where they don't do 1/1/1. This way Top is able to get enough units out to take a fast third and from there his crazy macro takes off. He also keeps dropping and Genius can't leave his base for a timing attack when Top gets a fast third. He tried to do this 2 games but Top kept dropping securing the 3rd.

It's not like there aren't fantastic players of the other races also, but even when I see them go down, I just can't bring myself to see it being anything other than good play from the Terran. MC got brought down in the RO32 because he underestimated Noblesse and MvP just straight outplayed him. Nestea went down to MVP because MVP is Nestea's kryptonite. You combine that with the fact that there are just way more Terrans in the GSL to begin with and you have the disparity we're seeing.

I"m sure it will be nerfed if it proves OP as time goes on.

Yeah, but cannons costs almost the same as bunkers, and they don't need supply to fire.

a) Good players mostly choose terran, that's why there are so many terran vs b) Good players are good because they chose terran, that's why there are so many terran every LR....

It is much much much harder to defend drops than to shift que a couple drops into the bases. By doing this you get so far ahead and it looks like amazing play, which in some cases it is, but it may not be.
