I don't. Voted for MVP and Ryung, which will make for an awesome semi-final series and another walkover final for whoever wins it, against TOP or Polt.

On a less sad theme than one of the remaining Protoss hopes apparently being terrible...
...TOP's really cementing his position as a top tier player of late, probably the #1 T on oGs nowadays as well.

Yeah that was bad, but the planetary one sealed the deal I thought TOP's sniping was really on the money the last couple of games, but there did appear to be a lot of templars just randomly hanging around asking to be taken out.

i don't care whether Terran is imba or not, if it's an all-terran semis imma not bother with GSL next season (unless the patch has a major impact)

i dont think its meant to be used like that.
Well it's not like protoss can't do something similar with photon cannons

I need a copy of your game with range 7 stalkers :o (they've got 6... PF has 6 with the option of upgrading to 7)

ever heard of dts? ever heard of storm drops?

Genius didn't need a cost effective harass unit though. Genius dealt with the drops very poorly. You could watch a top protoss on his a-game crush the drops with good positioning/zealots/dt's, and then getting off critical feedbacks/storms which almost guarantees a victory in a fight, as opposed to letting drops run rampant while getting no feedbacks/negligible storms and eating entire EMP's while a-moving into a PF.

What happened to storm drops? PFs won't save terrans from those.

It seems Genius just lost his patience there and chose a foolish engagement. I'm glad Top won, and I do think he earned it, but that last game was really more Genius' mistake than Top's crushing victory. Oh well; hopefully Genius has learned his lesson.

I do admit i prefer zergs and toss to win, cause people here cry imba when someone loses, instead of looking at which player deserved the win.

We can't repair cannons though.

TOP is the better player, but you'd have to be incredibly ignorant not to see that Terran is very very strong right now, it is nigh on impossible to hold the 1/1/1, as well as these Ghost timings, while Terran has the advantage in the lategame.
Ironically the only game Top lost was his 1/1/1 attempt. He pretty much played it straight up macro (he's one of the best at it) the rest of the games, as evidenced by consistently being +50 food above Genius.
Also, regarding your ghost timing. He didn't actually commit any time with the fast ghosts he built. He scanned, saw that it wasn't favorable, and just took a 3rd/4th and macro'd. So I really don't see anything blatantly op in Terran vs Protoss here. It wasn't the race, it was the player.

Optimus vs IMMVP finals. theres just no one standing in their way anymore.
pretty excited for the finals actually. unless thers a big upset but i srsly cant see anyone taken either down.

This is over a period of time. Genius IMO is a great player, but right now he hasn't been preforming that well at all. He has his all-ins etc, but I haven't seen him play a super solid macro game in quite some time
I want to give Genius the benefit of the doubt, he was my favorite player for the longest time...I dunno, he hasn't been impressing me lately :|
I'll wait it out though, maybe next GSL he might improve, but right now I'm no longer holding my hopes up

If anything I'll watch more because I love rooting for underdogs and for the people who always get shit on by the community. I want them to stop patching so there can be real (player produced) meta-game shifts instead of blizzard screwing around with everyone's build orders and unit mixes by buffing and nerfing via patches.

But I have to admit, the Terran players are just so good! They tend to make fewer mistakes and the mistakes they do make aren't at critical moments like the ones Genius was making in Games 2 and 4. It's so easy to blame game balance, but it really doesn't have much to do with it at all. The same old "best players play terran" aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaagain?

He didn't exactly repair the planetary in the choke.
It was just there as a big buffer to help out his bio that was also in the choke.
Photon Cannons would have served the same purpose, albeit with probably less effectiveness.
