Obligatory public note for all large tournament threads:
The following is a list of behaviors that will get immediate bans:
1. Whining about stream 2. Bashing other games 3. Flaming other users 4. Bashing players 5. Complaining about imbalance.
It is in no way complete. Keep in mind that there's a difference between pointing out that the SC2 and CoD streams were switched and whining about it (same thing on pointing out/asking about stream lag and whining about it, etc.). Also, just because you post something and aren't immediately banned for it doesn't mean you won't get caught. We'll be going through this thread very carefully.
That being said, enjoy today's games!

A couple fungals and the void ray group goes away. Same for mass chargelot. Sprinkle in some banelings and Trickster looks really silly all the sudden.

I always wondered about the hype about DongRaeGu. I don't follow the team lqague much but were his results really as great as everybody says? Because everything I saw from him in individual leagues was quite average...

Tricksters game face looks super pissed...

It was fine, only he ran them all off creep and tried to get them back again and they all got slaughtered.

I just came back to see VR's taking out DRG's main. ffe 2 stargates->voids pressure third and force hydras go zealot archon-> storm to kill hydras while constant pressure w/ voids expand when you have map control hopefully that sums it up well Well the brilliance was really that he had the voids in the back, as far away from his army as possible, so the hydras were pretty screwed, since they had to defend 2 places with such huge distance between.

DRG please turn this around! :D Need my zerg buddies to win!

DRG begins speed Protoss FFEs

The strength of the build is it's ability to respond easily. You'd be an idiot to go mutas because they can so easily switch to phoenixes. And infestors would be a very late and too gas intensive response for that early in the game. Not to mention the tech path already goes to templar even if the zerg doesn't go infestor.

SICK production MLG is showing us. It's almost as if I'm watching mlg. And with it being in the West and with such an enthusiastic crowd, I feel like it's even better.

He still uses hydras. Well he kinda had to? mutas or infestors would have been better. hydras are kind of crap Mutas? When you know the protoss has at least 2 stargates? No. Infestors? Maybe, but it would take too long to tech to, and you need a fair amount of them with enough energy to combat so many voids. mutas with a couple corruptors thrown in to zone isn't awful, it's a better option than hydras -______- the only reason you would have hydras in your army is to deal with air but they can't chase down air, don't do a lot of burst damage, and they become useless supply when your enemy gets AoE.

He had to get hydras out to defend against the void rays. No, he didn't. That's why you take fast third against FFE, so that 1. You can drone up to almost 80 uncontested and 2. You can defend everything with queens and spores/spines up until Toss actually chooses a tech path. You CAN throw up 4-5 spores at every base and STILL be ahead. Idk why DRG didn't do that.
That works against standard 1 Stargate play.
2 Stargates continuously pumping out +1 VRs? You have to respond to that, and with a lot more than just Spores and Queens.
But by the time DRG realised how heavily Trickster was committing to the VRs it was just too late.
