why didnt he expand behind this?
That's pointless because he can't drone up anyway.

Pros have been doing it for years in BW also ![]() I find it funny that BW Terrans imported many of their BW strategies (drops all over, harrass, siege tank pushes) almost immediately to SC2 and tried to make them work. Protoss seem to just be rediscovering what they did for years in BW. Sure, they tried it every now and then, but it seemed they gave up pretty quickly and are now just trying them again. That warp prism play is very situational. One viking will shut warp prism completely since they are so weak

Since this is a tournament being held at a tradeshow, they want to start on the first day and end on the final day. Wednesday was group A and B, Thursday was group C and D, today is quarterfinals, tomorrow is semis, and Sunday is 3rd/4th and finals. i generally only watch BW and SC2, but I have watched some other things on stream during this. I've been trying to broaden my ESPORTS horizon and appreciation, even if I don't start following other games. Consider this a good opportunity to learn about LoL, Halo, whatever football game they were playing, GW2 (!), etc. EDIT: Or, you know, only watch a bit of Starcraft on a given day and do other stuff.

If that was Shakura's MaNa would have not lost a unit. Edit: A player like MaNa can hold even on metal though.

It's not funny at all it's completely normal. Warp prism drops are situational, and incredibly risky. Dropping templar got nerfed from BW to SC1. But Terran drops got buffed from SC1 to SC2... so obviously terrans do drops and Protoss barely ever use shuttle templar.

They never stopped being viable. of course they weren't viable PvT against ghost, jeeeeeez! Yeah they really were. Hence why you still see them used all the time, hence why you still see them win all the time. I saw them getting EMP'd if thats what you mean.. Not arguing with trolls. Everyone who watches SC2 knows that HT's have been a viable option for months and that ghosts are not an insta-counter. Of course they're viable, but ghosts have the upper hand in that engagement. Remember these things: -With its area included, EMP outranges feedback. -Ghosts can also snipe templars -Templars are so slow that they're either too far back (Army dead by the time storms come), or too close (ghostbait), finding the correct positioning is tremendously difficult for protoss. -Terran, with scans and faster units usually have the sight advantage, observers can be easily shut down by terran Remeber that game MC vs PuMa on NASL finals on Tal'darim?? Game 6 I think. The ONLY reason MC won is because PuMa misplaced 2 ghosts, getting them close to a ramp outside MC's natural, where he didn't have vision upwards so MC could feedback them. It's basically the story of late-game PvT, you just wait for terran to make a mistake, if he plays it right, he'll always have a slight advantage.
