Losira can afford to "throw" units away because he has INSANE macro / when he is at 200/200 food.
If you noticed, it was practically 2 base vs 5 base.

You guys make it sound like it would be the end of the game if the raven is lost. It's 100 minerals, 200 gas. Thats less than two mutas. You'll easily kill two when he flies in to snipe the raven assuming it's not left completely by itself.

Oftentimes, it's what you DON'T see that makes somebody great. Losira has always been a little sloppy, as far as I remember, but what he lacks in micro he makes up with macro.
I also agree that he is playing a little sloppy after he got ahead in games but except that LAST GREAT attack and control 
he also uses only 1 control group and uses mouse for controlling combat mostly! --> see MLG vods

ZvZ is very rock paper scissors, but most good Korean zergs hatch first always now, so I guess that helps the "balance"

No, that means you have insane macro (not even that insane, he floated a ton of minerals a lot of the time and in one of these games Artosis even commented he needed a macro hatch) and decision making, that again does not make you good at ZvT when you are constantly throwing away units. It gets kind of annoying hearing someone has "insane macro" when they are essentially hitting s,d, and making overlords at proper times. Just because zerg is capable of making so many drones so fast doesn't mean any player who makes a lot is godlike at it.

Ravens have kind of a ridiculous detection range. I guess if you are stimming across the map yeah it matters but tanks arent well known for being mobile anyway. And for defense well...... bases dont move fast.

It takes 2 bunkers to wall off the bottom of the ramp. It's not that much of a mineral investment at all.

We're talking about a situation where Byun has tanks and thors and was all right next to his base. None of us are suggesting ravens next to drops, but why not keep it next to your main army, especially since Thors and tanks are so slow anyway?

I think you have to play the races to really appreciate mirrors, to see the timings the positions, the micro that is going into it and so on. ZvZ is interesting if you stop looking at the fact that it's usually roach blobs fighting roach blobs, and start looking at why the winner of the blob battle -- won.
