I saw more players in PvP try to cheese him with proxy 2 gate and half assed DT rushes and he would hold and then crush them.

MC screwed up no doubt, but the fans got screwed just as bad. I mean, the only non team league GSL champion match up we've had was FD vs Nestea, wth? No, Nestea vs MC in season 2 doesn't count since neither were GSL champions back then. Only MC haters and those rare actual HongUn fans have anything to celebrate--plus Nestea fans I guess. But I think even most of those want an epic series, not a walkover.
HongUn, please prove me wrong next week, as this has been one of the most frustrating GSL's ever. At least the other half of the tournament is all players that are solid and not weird/risky. MVP beat Nestea in the semis in GSL4.
Alright that's close, but it was also a long time ago and there were things like backdoor on Shakuras anyway. Plus I want to see two current champions face each other, and MVP hadn't rofl stomped MKP just yet.
MC's been getting called out for being too greedy/overconfident by another Prime player. First it was Polt's rax pushes (Zatic build I think), now MC is going up to 22+ probes and making crucial early errors by getting caught out of position and/or letting units in his base. The last game was especially ridiculous as anyone could see HongUn's core was about 5-6 seconds ahead of MC's. I don't know the exact timings for defensive four gate on 1 ff ramp maps, but MC should know those pretty much by heart, too much foreign tourneys or no.

I think the thing people overlook when considering past history with match ups is that for the finals there's 1 week of incredibly dedicated practice to beat your opponent on a given set of maps. If anything can get a player out of trouble in a match up it's intense practice in it (well, unless you're Inca), which is exactly what a finals scenario requires.
Go back to the start of Code A and Bomber's worst match up was considered TvT, but because he had to play a ton of it he's now seen as one of the most fearsome TvT players around while his TvZ fell behind somewhat.
As a Bomber fan I'd still probably back NesTea if that finals came to pass, but I'd expect it to be better quality than their previous match might have indicated.

Point is, he is highly overrated, just as HuK is, watch White-Ra play and there is always a new idea, a new form of play, MC does the same thing over and over, always same aggressiveness and when it fails he gets flustered and loses the same way that Hungoyon did in the game when he had the lead but couldn't take not winning directly and blunk in and died.
NesTea is a opposite, he is always new, refreshing, manages to get out of situations nobody expects him to and brings new ideas to the matchup. What he lacks that MC has is absurd amounts of confidence to the point that it flusters his opponents.

White Ra is nothing like as good as MC. You don't win nearly $200,000 over two GSL golds, a GSL Bronze, an NASL silver and three foreign LAN wins by being bad.
White Ra is the guy with broken english going carriers against Zerg and losing badly. He's a character, he's not a top player.
